LOVED this place! The atmosphere was such a classy nod to the history of the building with the preserved brick and painted signage and the natural hardwoods throughout. The food was EXCELLENT! I got the smoked ribs…tender and delicious. The collared greens were spiced perfect and the potato salad was just right…not too much mayonnaise and not overly salty. My only feedback would be the cornbread…juuuust a bit on the dry side….definitely make sure some water is handy. Ordered our food and in minutes, our plates were placed in front of us. Very much enjoyed this place and will definitely come back again.

My Cuban was very good. Well made, and Hot when served. The Fries were also very good. Skin-on fries are unique and were delicious.

Nice place very nice people. I had Parmesan crusted grouper collards and garlic mash potatoes and sweet tea. Everything was pretty good. I really liked the rolls and honey butter. I was too full for dessert but the cakes looked great.

Order two of the same meals. One steak was thinner than the other and was cooked to well done instead of medium.
We will go again, making reservations, even though when we went to the website, it stated the reservation app was still being worked on: so not sure what that was about.
All of the employees were friendly and truly seemed to enjoy their jobs.

Approximately two months ago, me and several of my co-workers dined at this establishment on a Saturday evening. The online reservation process was quick and efficient, our server was outstanding (She recommended several dishes all of which were delicious), the beverages, appetizers, and entrees were amazing. I have a shellfish allergy, thus the cook came out and spoke to me (once again above and beyond the call of duty)! On top of that, we even got to meet the owners. They are such nice people! Trust and believe, you will not leave here hungry nor disappointed. Southern hospitality at its finest!

Get a reservation as it’s normally busy for dinner. But well worth it. Wait time wasn’t long, service was quick and friendly, food was prepared in a reasonable time, and the taste was great. Steaks were cooked to requested temps, well seasoned, and had the perfect crust. Sides were tasty and fresh. I would come out of my way to eat here.
Looking forward to our next visit.

We’ve been planning to visit Big Papa’s for our son’s 21st birthday for 3 months or so and it was worth the short drive from Tallahassee. Big Papa’s is a homey little place right on the square in downtown Quincy. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. We all got steaks (and 1 pork chops that was very juicy and tender.) We’ll definitely be back to sample other menu items. Our steaks were all cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. Between all 5 of us, we had various sides of mashed potatoes, bacon-wrapped asparagus, mac & cheese, and a wedge salad. Then we had to get dessert to wrap up the birthday, of course! We had key lime pie, carrot cake, and red velvet cake (that had a thin perfect layer of cheesecake in the middle!) Everything was perfect!

Recommend to us by a hotel and tried it. We were beyond happy that we went!! The food was fantastic! We had smoked Beef brisket that melted in your mouth! It was done perfectly! The service was the tops and the chef was unbelievable!! All in all they couldn’t do enough for us!! This is a place that you can feel at home and feel very welcomed there. The menu is large with something for everyone!!

I travel a lot for work which is how I found this dynamite establishment. Their carrot cake is moist & delicious- I had to get it to go ‘cause those hot yeast rolls & magical butter, entree & crab claws (only $13.95 & the largest I’ve ever seen) left me stuffed! I can highly recommend the ribeye, chicken w/creamy spinach & mushrooms, and crab stuffed grouper. The service is fast & everyone is friendly & greet me like family. I don’t drink alcohol but saw several people bring in their own wine/beer which the staff chilled for them. Their hours vary day to day so be sure to check that before heading over—better yet, make a reservation because they have been at or near capacity every time I was there but if you must wait, it’s worth it!

What an absolute gem of a place! Quaint and classy all in one. We were greeted and seated right away. Fresh baked hot rolls with delicious butter. Wow… these melt in ur mouth. The rolls alone are enough to stop by.
Husband ordered 8oz sirloin. Sides were fries (Fresh Cut!! Amazing) and bacon wrapped grilled asparagus… smokey goodness. Everything perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The steak was worth every penny. (No A1 needed!).
My vegetarian self ordered the Strawberry Feta Salad with poppyseed dressing. So incredibly Fresh! I swear they picked those strawberries from out back before serving them. The portion of the salad was plenty to fill me up.
Our server, Keys, was absolutely great. Never needed to ask for refills … they were quick to fill.
Wish we had room for dessert as it also looked amazing. We’ll have to come back for that.
I do wish there were more vegetarian meal options available, but hey… it’s a chophouse… i dont ever expect to find anything i can eat at these types of restaurants, so I was happy to have a few options.
Again… we were so impressed! And we will be back.
