We came all the way from Tampa and it was worth every mile. From the moment we walked in we were greeted, “Welcome to the family!” Mo was an amazing friendly server who offered advice on the menu. She was kind and made our first experience the best. The food tasted like it was made with pure love. We will return again.

Everything that we ordered was great!!! It satisfied all of my birthday cravings! Even on a busy Saturday night they were able to service my party of 8 in less than an our and we all order apps, entrees and drinks. Our server was nice and friendly. Great price point for the amount of food we received but we still don’t understand why we had to pay a “Late Night Gratuity”. This is something we never heard of before (at any other restaurant).

OMG, how have i missed this place? The buffet is soul food Heaven! Down home finger lickin’, slap your mama it’s so good! The first memorable touch is when Kiera, our hostess greeted our table by saying “welcome to the family”. There is enough comfort food to satisfy everyone’s appetite too. The carving station had several choice cuts of beef. It appeared to be brisket and prime rib. There was also fresh fried chicken to make your mouth water. Not to mention they whipped up exquisite made to order omelets right there in front of you. There is an island with four sides. Each one loaded with multiple delicacies in each serving tray. There were BBQ ribs, salmon patties, fried fish, etc. To name but a few. There’s also another row of tables with breakfast staples to load up with. Then there was the delicious dessert table. The bread pudding was my personal favorite. I over loaded my first plate. Left a little room for dessert. And I’m afraid that was it for me. This time. The ladies had shopping plans. We’ll definitely return. I demand a rematch! Kiera was our waitress. Penny was our hostess. I think she’s the manager. Both were always quick to refill our glasses, or provide tips on the food. All with a smile just as big as the warmth they naturally radiate in making each customer comfortable. Couldn’t ask for better Southern hospitality. It was a little pricey at about $30 per plate. But hey, I’m not complaining. I believe that for the quality and diversity provided. More than worth it. Definitely a quality meal. I would like to see warmers under the food trays to keep items hotter. Otherwise, keep up the great menu!

I’ve always enjoyed coming to Big Nick’s, having been here three times before, but this visit was a huge disappointment. We ordered the Wings and Tenders with the sauces on the side. Getting only five tenders for $14 felt absolutely ridiculous—the portion size didn’t match the price at all. To top it off, the sauces were terrible. Our total bill was $29, and frankly, it felt completely not worth the money this time around.

The chicken wings should be marinated they aren’t tender the sauce has the perfect flavor but when I bite in on the inside of the wing I’m not tasting any salt or seasonings whatsoever so it’s an overall turn off for my appetite also my oysters was overcooked very tough and chewy hard to swallow the ribs tasted phenomenal the dirty rice and mac and cheese was cooked with love and affection the rib was perfectly seasoned

Its always a great time when we go to Big Nicks. Its food that feeds the soul. My favorite and now my grandsons favorite is the alligator bites, if you haven’t tried them I highly suggest you do. The ribs, brisket, chicken, greens, are all on point. Plus being there on a Saturday evening with a live band enhanced the evening. Dinner and a live show. Not bad at all. We left full and entertained, you can’t beat that.

Driving through and wow, glad I stopped! I don’t usually like grits, but I went with Shrimp and Grits at the recommendation of the bartender. Let me tell you, whatever I ate was not grits, it was full flavor deliciousness. Unreal. I didn’t know you could make grits good, let alone absolutely amazing.

I’m came to visit Nick from Miami, traveling back home to New Orleans . I loved the vibe in the place , definitely wish I could’ve sat and enjoyed the all you can eat but besides that, the take out did fairly well. Being that I’m from Miami and live in Nola I have had better wings but they did the job. The collard Green was top tier. As far as the corn bread and Mac and cheese, they were okay. But other than that I enjoyed the experience. Would definitely come back to try the buffet.
