Today was my first time going and I must say the food is definitely A1!!!! Every soul food restaurant you go to always have smothered Ox Tails but they have Braised Ox Tails!!! It was sooo good along with seafood rice and Mac and cheese! And for those like me who don’t eat pork, they had smothered green beans with turkey sausage! I will definitely be going back! So worth the money!

I love this place because the food is seasoned just right and they aren’t using anything that is overwhelming to the tastebuds. And they give you a reasonable portion of food for the price. I can’t forget the customer service is 10/10.

The Gentleman accepting my order was patient and kind( I had trouble deciding) as was the team member preparing my food for pick up. The dining area was clean and cute. The food was absolutely amazing and well worth the price.We were unable to finish our to-go plates in one sitting. There is on and off street parking available. 1915 Montgomery Street in Savannah, Ga. Very cute neighborhood spot. You have to try it!!!

We went today during the grand opening. The food was amazing!! It’s a takeout restaurant so there is very limited seating. The food was fresh to order and the staff were kind. We had to wait for red rice so they made the wait very accommodating. We will definitely be back and we got to meet the Mayor.

I stopped by Big Mommas Kitchen and the food did not disappoint at all. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned and you can tell it was cooked with care. The mac and cheese oxtails potato salad and sweet potato pie stood out the most and are definitely must haves. It felt like real home cooked soul food not rushed or mass produced.
The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and the restaurant itself was very clean. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be adding this to my weekly rotation for soul food. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

I reached out to Big Momma’s in hopes they would be able to cater my office meeting on a Wednesday, a day they are typically closed. Ms. Tiffany graciously responded the same day with menu suggestions and a quote!
But great customer service was only the 1/2 of it! The food was HOT and FRESH! We received 2 full trays of fried chicken, 1 full tray of THE CREAMIEST, MOST DELICIOUS, HOUSEMADE Mac & Cheese, and 1 full tray of Cabbage & Sweet Peppers. This food did not disappoint. Everyone in the office became a future customer of Big Momma’s today and I got praised for picking the right spot for lunch!

Omg where to start. The food was soooo good. I wanted to try some of everything so I tried the honey buffalo wings, Mac and cheese, seafood rice and the turkey wings. I was so stuff. I am going back tomorrow to try a few more dishes!

OXTAILS and MAC AND CHEESE!!! It was very nice to be able to get a home cooked meal while out. The dish I had was cooked to perfection. Next time I will try the BBQ chicken or fried chicken that everyone was talking about. I met the owner after her ribbon cutting before it got super busy. She was very kind. I love supporting local businesses and I love a great meal. I will be back next weekend to grab dinner, this will be my go to when I don’t feel like cooking. Next time I will remember to take pictures
