Shared the 9oz bacon wrapped filet with baked potatoes and salad. The filet was as tender as a waygu steak and as flavorful. Hands down one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The onion straws and pumpernickel bread were a great addition!!! Will definitely be back when in the area. Parking was a bit difficult but totally worth the wait in the back sitting area/bar. We chose the option to sit at the bar and only waited 15 minutes for our seats.

We came on late, not realizing they were closing. They kept the kitchen open. The service was great. We had shrimp and a rib eye steak and fries. The food was hot and good. The flavor was delicious in both but the ribeye was a little chewy and fatty, yet flavorful. I’d recommend. One of our top two dinners in Orange Beach area.

THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO I use to be vegetarian mikes statehouse will change that!! It is amazing best steak I’ve ever had! I was vegetarian for 9 years I’m really picky about my meats it just weirds me out and this is DELICIOUS I had no issues would turn a vegan into a meat eater! Fast service amazing waiters they were on top of it! And super friendly great atmosphere we didn’t have to wait long but I promise you it’s worth the wait we got the cheese sticks as well they are the best I’ve ever tried! If you haven’t tried this place what are you waiting on

Great selection and Steaks are Phenomenal! Our favorite place in Orange beach to eat. You will not find a better place!! Steaks are big enough to share as well. The bread was awesome as well. Service is great. You might have a wait but it’s worth it!!

Went alone. The food was very good. It took quite a while to be waited on. And while I did get a drink, I never got a refill. Tried to get the waitresses attention once. She was very concerned with families and couples. I don’t know if it’s because I was by myself or what. Asked for something to be separated and it didn’t happen. Luckily the woman at the bar was able to separate my checks and allow me to pay so that I could leave. Waitress was friendly to me as I left. Overall, just felt overlooked.

I have been to the Orange Beach location two times over two years while visiting on vacation. Both times there was a lengthy wait (around an hour plus) but both times the food and service was completely worth it! I had the Fillet with blackened rice, & potato casserole. Everything was amazing. The fillet was cooked medium with bacon wrapped around it. It was tender, juicy and smoky as well. It was delicious. We also had the mozzarella wedges for an appetizer they were crispy and cooked perfectly with a gooey center.
Mikes has become a must visit restaurant every time we vacation here.

We live locally and always wait until the off season to eat at Big Mike’s so we don’t have to wait for seating. Jan 6, 2026 was a great day to take our family that were visiting with us.
Service was exceptional…. our very skilled female server had it down! Always checking in with us without interrupting our conversation or being too intrusive. She was friendly and welcoming.
The quality food was well above average- served promptly. it was hot, tasty, and cooked to perfection. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for such an experience

Alright there was A lot of hype around this place we even waited for 40 minutes to get a table since they do not take reservations. I just want to start off by saying the service was decent the server was obviously busy. The complementary bread was phenomenal. NOW the steaks that we clearly came for were disappointing to say the least. I brought my mom here for her birthday and we all got 16oz ribeyes I understand it is a fattier cut of meat but when I have to saw off over half of my steak because it is all fat that is ridiculous. The flavor however was delicious BUT if you are going to charge what you charge you should invest in higher quality cuts of meat. We spent nearly 400$ on steak that was half fat. We would have been better off going to Texas Roadhouse. Super disappointed and unsatisfied.

Food was chefs kiss!!! Delicious! I will attach pictures. I had a chopped hammer steak with brown gravy and onion with a house salad and baked potatoe. My husband had a sirloin with a house salad and potato also. His steak wasn’t done enough and they took it back and fixed it no problem. Our server was very sweet and did a great job.

We were looking forward to this night out during our vacation. We knew about the wait for a table and were prepared. We found a spot in the shade in the back by the bar. We enjoyed the fried wickles pickles as an appetizer and drinks while we waited. The outside atmosphere was open and great.
We all enjoyed the steak, with different sides. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, and salad were all tasty and worth the wait. Inside, it was hot and crowded. I am more sensitive than my friends about crowded places, but the heat made it a little uncomfortable for us. They were probably trying to serve as many as possible as quickly as possible, so the front door was open a lot. We were seated by the door. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, but the staff that brought out food spilled salad dressing on one of our party. We are pretty easy going, but a little help preventing staining would have went a long way. We will return, it was still a great experience. We will not go on a holiday weekend in the middle of summer.
