On my ride there, you’ll miss it if you don’t keep your eyes peeled. It’s tucked away, and you wouldn’t think it’s a BBQ spot, but that shows how hole-in-the-wall it is.
I got the combo meal and my favorite is the brisket. Very juicy and tender. Their bbq sauce is really balance. One thing I wish would be better is their lemonade, it is a tad more sweet than I would like.
Great portion sizes and value. Definitely would want to come back here again.

Not sure what happened to this place. I ordered a pulled beef sandwich and a tub of beans. The beef smelled rotten so much that I ended up stopping at a Sheetz to wash my hands and steering wheel. The beans were watery and had so much garlic they were not edible. This is a far cry from the food I had there a year ago which was awesome. The kitchen looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in months and there were meats on racks that weren’t heated or even wrapped. I feel bad leaving a negative review but the meat smelled like a dead deer in the sun. What happened?

If your not a local, you won’t know about, or most likely see this in travels. I was told about this from a associate. MAN am I happy I went here! Outside may seem to throw you off, but it’s a shop with a history and they let that show. The food is absolutely amazing. I ate the sampler which was made of of ribs, chicken, brisket and pulled pork! Not to mention the best corn muffins I have ever eaten in my life. This place hits the top 2 as far as best barbecue foods I have ever eaten. Meat so soft, it falls off, barbecue sauce that it sticky and cooked to perfection. Not that all wet saucy taste. Thats not for me. Pulled pork just melting in my mouth. Chicken so tasty. He cooks it over wood. But only uses 1 type of wood. Did I mention the AMAZING muffins!!! This is a must stop for the barbecue junkies out there. It’s a 2hr drive for me, and I assure you that it won’t stop me from going!! Highly recommended!!!

You might never find this place. Tucked on the backside of the road to nowhere. Brisket was decent. Mac and cheese was adequate. But the beans. What was that? They were totally inedible. Disgusting. Worst beans I ever had. A fresh can of ban lamps would have been better. Sorry. The rest was okay

Hole-in-the-wall place. Smells like wood burning, which tells you that they smoke their own BBQ. Good food, good sized portions. Lighting could be better.

Don’t waste your time! Drove out of our way to have Big Mike’s…. They are CLOSED! The sign on the door says something about construction taking longer than expected. Perhaps they could/should have updated their Google information.

Took my mom for her b.day lunch..The bbq ribs r the best I’ve had around! And their Braddock brisket is out of this world they’re pulled pork you don’t even need sauce on it it is perfect! And hospitality is amazing very friendly people

As someone who is from western NC, I can honestly say this is an authentic and delicious bbq place! We were VERY impressed. On par (and better than most) with bbq places from home!! 10 stars. Very sweet and friendly staff too.
