First time coming to Big Mike’s for wing night. Love supporting small businesses as I’m a small business owner myself. With that being said the service was below average. Got our drink orders in and then took over 10 minutes to receive them. Sweet teas and waters only. Then placed wing order for dinner. Took a lot longer to get a table of 5 food.(35-40minutes) But once we received food it was worth the wait. The wings were cooked perfectly with the right amount a sauce. I guess the way the world is going with every business understaffed we need to be more patient with business or just stay home and cook meals ourselves. Would try Big Mike’s again

Heard about this place from some locals all thought I’d give it a try while in town.
It wasn’t very busy for noon on a Thursday. Just a couple tables of customers. It’s “seat yourself” style with menus already on the table.
Ordered a sweet tea, a dozen baked oysters and a side of okra.
The tea and okra were delicious.
Oysters, not so much. Barely warm, had sprinkle Parmesan cheese that looked like was thrown on after the fact, butter that looked like came straight out the squeeze bottle and only one had the hint of lemon.
Had to ask for crackers and a refill on my drink and never got checked on after. Had to go to the counter to get tab and pay.
I was going to order a to-go for my husband of something different to try but since the waitress didn’t come back I didn’t feel like waiting for it.

Big Mike’s platter is a lot of food for the money. Very good flavor and worth the money. Very attentive staff. Highly recommend. Prices are reasonable and there are items for children and specials.

1st Visit, for lunch we had a BLT and salad. It was good. We ended up ordering dessert and the Pecan cobbler came with ice cream but the cobbler wasn’t warm. It actually tasted like a store bought peacan pie with a scoop of ice cream on top. It was still good. She enjoyed her cheese cake. I was concerned about the tarter sauce being left out on the tables. Idk if that is healthy or not. Correct me if I’m wrong, it just didn’t seem healthy. Other than that. I would like to go back and try their seafood.

-4 stars. This place has gone downhill. They forget everything you order and leave off sauces and sides, portions of sides are small, food is average. Here’s a pic of a terrible tomato that was on my burger. Spent thousands at this place but never again.

Great place for for good food. Their 50¢ wings every Wednesday are always a great deal. Great environment. Very helpful staff. Though, due to being minimally manned, when they get extra busy, it can be challenging for the 2-3 waitresses to keep up with everything. Not a fault of theirs, simply of the low manning. All around great place to eat, imo. We’ll definitely be back soon!

All our food was tasty yet undercooked, and was disappointed that I couldn’t get 6 shrimp added to my meal without being charged for a whole new plate. We has heard great reviews and wanted to try. Server was nice and sweet tea was awesome. We didn’t complain but likely won’t return.

Good food, service a little slow but I think they are understaffed. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Go early as they do fill up fast and do not turn over tables very quick. That being said a worth the wait with the best cheese grits I have ever had!
I sadly must edit my review. Went a couple weeks ago for my last time. Wait time slow as always but when food finally did arrive they had not made one of my party’s food a SALAD. it then took them 20 minutes to make said salad. Wow when it arrived it looked enough for entire table. Come to find out waitress had forgot to place order for salad and then the coward just quit coming to our table and pawned us off on another server. Sad very sad!

Me and my husband come here a lot and their seafood never disappoints us. Who ever the cook is hats off to them. Because they know what they’re doing when it comes to cooking Seafood. This is place is way better than David’s Catfish in Dothan. I Will never go back to them. They was a big disappointment. But this place I’ll keep coming back. The food is great and so are there server’s.

food is great, the wings are the best. service was extremely poor. at first i felt bad because there was only 1 server & she was pretty busy, but after we got our food she never came back to the table. the dining room maybe had 5 other people total. they definitely show favoritism towards certain customers. will not be returning to headland location.
