Stopped in last night to get dinner and give Big Mike’s a try. Ordered the Smokehouse plate with chicken and pulled pork and was pretty disappointed with how little meat there was. The meat was delicious but for the price, not near enough. Sides were Mac n cheese and fries. Wasnt impressed with either really. (I would suggest mixing the cheese into the Mac more as opposed to melting it on top.)
Also got a chicken wrap. Again, DELICIOUS, but was wanting more meat. My only “complaints” really.
Big Mike was a pleasure to talk to and especially liked the fact that he is willing to listen to his customers. I hope they make this business last for years. The food honestly is delicious and worth the visit.

I don’t usually give 5 stars but the food here was super good. I am a pit mistress so I know good BBQ and Big Mike’s was pretty darn tasty. I had the brisket sandwich and it was really good and not just hickory smoke flavored.

Pretty good BBQ and down home family run service…
The place seems to be family run and the food is pretty good but didn’t leave anything to write home about. I ordered the BRISKET sandwich with Poutine Fries and asked which BBQ sauce options they had.
was told they have Sweet baby Ray’s… Was a bit sad to not be able to select and pour from a variety of house made sauces instead had it portioned out slowly by the cook. I love to slather my food in sauce and was a bit embarrassed to ask for more sauce, a second time to get close to the amount I wanted.
The POUTINE FRIES were rediculous in the best way possible- smothered in gooey cheese and gravy w fresh cut scallions. Potatoes were fresh and crisp and the cheesey sauciness was over the top perfect.- see photo
sandwich was ok. Brisket was not as moist, smoky or melt in mouth tender as I like my brisket to be. Was disappointed to see the sandwich consisted of some meat inside a hotdog bun w some horseradish(?) sauce- nothing else. I expect a BBQ sandwich to have something to give it texture and substance- perhaps some house made Cole Slaw or… Sandwich was advertised as having 1/2 lb. of brisket… I would be surprised if those 2 pieces of meat were even 1/4 lb in total weight. Where’s my meat?
Tried some icecream from the bar. Would not order again
Prices were fair, (see menu photo 12/19) and the staff really wanted to please which made up for a lot considering this is the opening week and they are still working out kinks.
Typical BBQ diner atmospher.
As of this review (December 9 2019) the restaurant is still waiting on their liquor license. meaning- no beer w your dinner ☹️

One of the best places we’ve ever eaten at! They have Amazing BBQ, and an amazing dish called Potin….if you haven’t tried it, you need to. Their hospitality and down to earth, good ol’ boy honesty is refreshing and missed in today’s world. Thanks to the whole staff for making it such a great experience and a fabulous dinner!!

Food was great. My only critique is that when I go to a BBQ place I expect homemade sauce or at least not pre packaged sauce from a major manufacturer.

Love the food love the atmosphere. My only problem with the food here is the burgers, if they cut the salt that they on them in half they would have a great burger.
