Some of the best pizza we’ve had in awhile! The Mediterranean had tasty salty olives, the queen was loaded, and the pepperoni was remarkably tasty (couldn’t get a photo before everyone ate it up). It was ready quick for pick up and customer service was excellent. We will be back!

I like the square crust pizza. Really good dough and generous toppings. The pepperoni and cheese has a nice balance of flavor and it’s delicious out of the oven. The dim lighting of the bar reminds me of an 80’s movie and I always hoped there was an underground video game arcade like in ninja turtles. Big Mario could be like the pizza shredder.

I’m giving the pizza joint 5 stars. My only complaint was the price of the pizza. The other day when I was about to get a slice one slice was hiked up so high. If I would have bought two slices it would have been close to $20 with tax and tip.
I know times are hard but this is super high. I might as well go to Target and get a craft pizza for $8 and bake it myself.

Big Mario’s Pizza in Cap Hill is a great late-night spot for a slice.

One thing I really appreciate is how they pre-bake their pizza. When you order a slice, they pop it back in the oven to reheat, but it’s never overdone.

It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference — the crust stays golden brown with just the right amount of crisp, and the toppings stay fresh. Definitely a fan of that — so I’ll give them points for that.

As for the pizza itself, it’s a solid slice. Nothing groundbreaking, but it hits the spot. If you’re in the area looking to sober up or just want a late-night snack before heading home, this is the place. There was a line when I went, but it moved pretty quickly.

They have a yummy vegan pizza! It was a tad spicy which was pretty nice (I have a low spice tolerance). Bought one slice and it was great. Got to sit at the bar and eat it. Cool dark lighting inside at night.

i grew up in Brooklyn and have been missing good ny pizza for a long time. called in to order a pie from a different pizzaria and they said it would be a 2 hour wait, so i went here instead even though it was pretty pricey. asked for a large cheese pie and they had it ready in 10 mins, inside was super chill and had a cool vibe. took the pizza home and by the time we got there it was room temp, but it didn’t matter because it hit the spot so good. best pizza ive had outside of nyc easily, genuinely really authentic prep, great cheese great sauce and fantastic chewy dough. totally earns the right to call itself ny style, highly recommend

I stopped by this spot for a pepperoni pizza
The first thing to note is that a slice here is 1/6th of a pizza, rather than the typical 1/8th. This means that you’re getting a pretty large slice for one person

Another pretty cool thing is they reheat the specific pizza slice you ordered right before serving, which isn’t something that all places do

The pizza itself is pretty good. It’s a relatively thin crust, and it’s charred a lot on the bottom – a little bit more than I would like as certain parts are nearly fully black
Biting into the crust feels a little like biting into a cracker; it’s got that same mouth-feel

As far as the three main elements of the pizza, I would say they were all above average, but nothing mindblowing
The tomato sauce was nice, and the cheese was melted really well, but since this is such a thin pizza, there isn’t a ton present with each bite. What is there
does taste pretty good though. The cupped pepperoni is also pretty good as well, but just not crispy at all.

For me, I don’t think New York style is my favorite style of pizza, so it’s possible someone who appreciates that style more would enjoy this
Speaking of New Yorkers, I think one of them might revolt at the price of this – about $6 for a slice. It is a bigger slice though, and compared to other options in Seattle, it’s not *that* bad

Overall, it’s a pretty good slice of pizza, but not a great one. 7.75/10

I would give five stars, but the blonde, Pipa?, looks at you like a homeless person entering your home. I’ve been in multiple times with similar reactions from her. O% hospitality skills. Coming from a family of hospitality owners and workers in Sammamish, she greets me like she is forced to be here, at her work. Even with the simple job of slinging pizza. She’s especially unwelcoming, to me. Other than that Big Mario’s is solid. Food and drink always on point.

Almost a 5.

Such a really cool local joint to come in for a slice. Reminds of a NY pizza place to walk in and grab a slice. There is a bar on the back of the restaurant. I was with my daughter, so I wasn’t able to go back there and have a pint with my slice. If you have the chance to just get some food and sit at the bar, I’d take advantage of it.

My only takeaway would be that my slice did not have as much of a slight crunch on the dough to get a good fold.

THIS is pizza. When that smell hits…you know this is going to be good. Absolutely fantastic crust to toppings ratio. Each bite gives you all the flavor. Great portions. The staff are so awesome. Genuinely friendly and helpful. Definitely get the Seattle cola to wash it down. Yummmmm!!
