First time here 07/03/2025. Just passing through on our way back from Ludington. I give this pizza place 10 stars. From the friendliness cleanliness kid friendly. The pizza was cooked to perfection service and hospitality perfection. Very very good. We will definitely be going back in the future. Most importantly very clean. Thank you for the wonderful service. Oh and the music they pay is awesome. Definitely a 5 star.

Not impressed. Waited 2 hours for a cold pizza with burnt crust and rubbery cold clams… I arrived at the time pizza was said to be ready, and sat in the lobby for over an hour while my “food was in the oven” , yet received cold food. A mysterious event.
Really expected more from this place. I tried to call back to give feedback over the phone but was left on hold for 10 minutes when I called. The quality of my food was that of a frozen pizza.

We attended a 2-year-old’s birthday party at Big John’s Pizza and had such a great experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating to both kids and adults. The pizza was delicious, and the team made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. We were even able to have the entire space to ourselves, which made it perfect for a toddler party. Highly recommend for family gatherings or any small event!

It might look like a 1980s Pizza Hut, but it doesn’t taste like a 1980s Pizza Hut. Trust me that’s a good thing.
Their sauce is delicious. The cheese abundant. Nor do they skimp on their toppings.
At first glance they seem like a typical thin crust pizza place. That is until you see the crust. It’s the thinnest crust I have ever seen. I’m not convinced it exists in three dimensions. Yet somehow it holds up to the sauce, cheese and toppings without wilting. It’s crunchy and soft. My biggest complaint about the crust is that there isn’t more of it! It’s some of the best tasting crust I have ever had.

I always love their chicken bacon ranch pizza. Have not been able to find anywhere else that is as good.

Ordered a pizza ahead of time, came in and got our drinks, just put in our straws and the pizza came out piping hot and ready to be devoured. The two of us were able to polish off all but three pieces. Nice experience for a local company, apparently been running since 1970! Will be back for more for sure!

Wow, normally we get there great pizza. Tonight I got the combination sub. I can’t even believe it was great, by far the best sub sandwich I’ve had.

I ordered pizza on Saturday night around 6:15 PM, and the wait was about 45 minutes — which I completely understand, as it was right during the dinner rush. I ordered three cheese and three pepperoni pizzas. I genuinely wanted to enjoy it, but unfortunately, it just didn’t hit the mark for me.
The thin crust, which I usually like, tasted more like cardboard than a crisp, flavorful base. The sauce was underwhelming, and the cheese was more well-done than I prefer — not burnt, but not ideal either.
That said, I really appreciated the friendly and welcoming staff; everyone greeted me with a smile, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. I wish I could say I enjoyed the pizza as much as I enjoyed the service, but sadly, it just didn’t work for me.

Big John’s Pizza is truly a gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the mouthwatering aroma of fresh dough and savory toppings. Their pizzas are consistently delicious, with a perfect balance of crispy crust and rich, flavorful sauce. Whether you’re a fan of classic pepperoni or adventurous specialty pies, there’s something for everyone. The generous portions and friendly service make every visit special. It’s no wonder Big John’s has been my favorite for years! If you’re looking for a great pizza experience, look no further. Highly recommended!

We’ve been going to Big John’s every year during our stays in the summer. My kids have enjoyed the pizza ever since they were little. And we’ve remained customers even after the new owners took over. On Wednesday 07/30 we placed an online order for 2 pizzas. Oddly, it said that the order would be ready in an hour which seemed like a long time, considering that it was 3 O’Clock on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. When I showed up to pick up the pizzas, the owner was talking to her friends at the counter. Appeared that they were making a catering order. They talked, and talked, and talked, never once was I greeted with a “Hello” or “I’ll be right with you”. The owner was so engaged with her friend (and the friend’s daughter), they acted like I wasn’t even in the room. I waited 6 minutes before she rudely asked what I wanted. I said I was there to pick up my order. She told me it wasn’t ready because she had no staff at that time and that somebody was barely coming in. How exactly is that my problem? She told me to wait another 20 minutes. The audacity was astounding. Are you sure it’s because there was no staff or was it because she was so busy yapping with her friend that she didn’t care to fulfill the order? That “they can wait” attitude is disgusting. I can’t deal with rudeness or the unprofessional atmosphere. Get yourselves together. And treat everyone fairly. A paying customer is a paying customer and should be treated with the same respect as your friends and regulars. And learn how to schedule staff and complete orders in a timely manner. The pizza wasn’t even good nor was it worth an 85 minute wait. You can tell it was rushed and made without real effort. I’ve had deep dish pizzas served to me faster than that. I will gladly go elsewhere to a place where kindness, good service, and quality food is a priority.
