We visited this place today and found it to be a great little place to eat. The food was good and the atmosphere as well! It’s nothing fancy, but well worth the money and time.

Fun little place to stop for a quick bite to eat and fun for the kids. The woman working the counter was very patient, informative and hard working. Had the best burger. Could use music for atmosphere and a little sprucing up. Otherwise, a nice place to stop with the family!

Food was great but really didn’t care for ordering upon entering the restaurant. I know you had a bench to sit on to read the menu but it was very difficult with 2 kids. Just didn’t seem like”family” friendly. I might add very understaffed. One in the back and one at the counter. Thank goodness we ordered quick style food ( tenders,fries, hoagies and well done Mac and cheese)

We thought it was over priced for what we got and the teens working were all kind but needed to remember to be professional at work. We were also disappointed there was no game room when advertised on the website like it’s still there. But we ate on the porch and loved that!

We absolutely love this place, and I am sad to see it is closed.
We used to come to Canaan Valley every summer for the Close family reunion. We’d always go to Big Jonns the day we arrived.
The food was always enjoyable and the staff was amazing.
I have so many wonderful memories at this restaurant.
I haven’t been back in probably 15 years and that’s why I’m doing my review now since Google reviews weren’t really a thing then.

This is a family friendly place with lots of arcade games for kids complete with tickets and prizes. The menu is pretty extensive and, again, very family friendly with kids items to choose from as well. The food itself was what you would expect… good enough but nothing to write home about. The steak and mashed potatoes were pretty good. I tasted the spaghetti and thought it was above average. I also tasted the chicken fingers and fries and they were acceptable. Overall I do recommend this place for a place to go especially if you have children who will definitely be entertained here and it’s good on the wallet too.

The food was pretty good overall, but nothing was outstanding. The Barrel Aged Steak was very good, but the green beans served with it were overcooked. The Grilled Cheese would have been good if they hadn’t burned it. And the Chicken Alfredo pizza was actually pretty good, although the crust was only passable. The counter service was friendly, but the rest like drinks was self serve. The attached arcade was interesting and the decor was interesting. Although not a great meal, it was reasonably priced and I’d go back in a pinch.

My wife and I went there to try the steak, but they had a pizza buffet, so we decided to try it. It was just after 6 pm, but the pizza what few pieces were out looked like it had been out for awhile. I noticed other customers had purchased their own pizza instead of the buffet. The salad bar was okay, and I guess they only have room for 4 pizzas, so not much of a selection.
We went ahead and got a couple of pieces, hoping fresh pizza would come soon, it didn’t. My wife asked one of the workers if more was coming and was told we could just request one. My wife told them just whatever they would normally bring out would be fine. Eventually some more folks came in for the buffet, and they did start slowly bringing fresh out. We did at least get a couple of hot and fresh pieces.
In my opinion, don’t offer the pizza buffet if you’re not going to keep it fresh, or at least tell the customer up front it’s a slow night, and they can just request what they would like.
On the way out I saw some folks had a steak. It looked good, and I wish we had just went for it instead of the pizza..
