Big John’s Barbecue has officially ruined all other wings for me—in the best way possible. Their smoked wings are always on point: flavorful, juicy, and cooked just right. I’m completely hooked on their mild sauce… so much that I’ve bought the large bottle twice! (Had to replace one after my mom took it—yes, it’s that good.) I use it on everything at home.
The sides? Incredible. My husband and I love their baked beans, collard greens, and mac and cheese. You can taste the care in every bite—it’s classic, soulful, and satisfying.
I live nearby and always get excited when I see their Open sign on. It’s my favorite BBQ spot. Everything is smoked on-site, and the flavor proves it. They even have a small seating area if you want to eat there.
If you’re craving real BBQ made with love, this is where you need to go. Highly recommend!

Big John’s is the man the myth n the legend of BBQ. Most excellent taste and tenderness and amazing flavor. Prices are reasonable. There are always people ordering. Try everything. The sweet potatoes are so comforting and delicious. God bless you all at Big John’s BBQ and God bless your business. You rock.

So I just made an order from Grubhub. First half of my order was missing. The part of my order that I did was receive was the Beef rib platter, smoked wings, and peach cobbler. The rib was on the dry side, the Mac and cheese was mostly noodles and very dry. The potatoes in the potato salad were over cooked. The taste was bland and it was warm. The wings were pretty good and the peach cobbler was very tasty. I doubt I will finish the rib platter. I am very disappointed by the food. I was looking forward to trying this food bc of all the great reviews it had online. This will probably be the last time I make an order from here especially seeing as though the food is very pricey.

I’ve been to a lot of BBQ places in delaware, jersey, and PA. Withought question Big John’s BBQ had the best and most perfect brisket I’ve ever had.
Will gladly be back to try the rest of the menu

Hands down the best wings I’ve ever had! Mac & Cheese was on point, Collards were tender and you could drink the juice (my personal test of knowing the collards are good). I got the pulled pork plate and 6 wings. Very solid meal, a little pricey but WELL WORTH IT! Definitely worth stopping at if you are ever close enough. Food was AMAZING, nice service and cool little spot to sit down and enjoy.

By far the best BBQ in the area. Big John’s was closed so I went to Racks… no comparison. Big John’s ribs have so much more flavor, moistness, and a unique barbecue sauce that I can’t get enough of.

Me and my wife had the pleasure of stopping by Big John’s Bbq today to share some of our legendary bbq and gourmet deserts with him and his staff and had the chance to try his bbq for the first time. I’m a bbq pitmaster of 42 years and must say that Big Johns Bbq doesn’t disappoint, his bbq is spot on, great customer service and very friendly. I haven’t found a bbq up North that I have even enjoyed or liked until Big Johns Bbq! everything was spot on and bbq perfect; tender, flavorful and the ribs were perfectly smoked and pull off the bone tender. Brisket and pork was flavorful and needed no sauce, that is the only way to eat bbq and know that it is good when no sauce is needed. John’s Carolina gold sauce was very tasty if your a sauce type of person. The deserts and beverages were delicious as well. You can’t go wrong with anything John does. I highly recommend Big John’s Bbq.

I’m from KY and lived in numerous locations around the South. This is true southern BBG. The hallmark of good BBQ is that it tastes great without any sauce. Check! His hot sauce was little sweet for me and yet still left me wanting for more. I am a big fan of hickory smoked meat, and I know that mesquite is a big thing in Texas. I could not detect any wood smoke in this BBQ; it was simply charcoal. I also suspect that he is cooking at 250deg , instead of the 220deg that I would prefer. This is based on the marbelization of the fat.
