So I was planning a 2nd visit to a BBQ place I found last trip to Flint but,my girlfriend who is a Flint native recommended Big John’s. I got a super steak,onion& mushroom ,the 16 inch sandwich. $22 bucks and worth ever penny. The meat is seasoned perfect,the cheese is caramelized along with the onion and mushrooms on the grill for a perfect meat symphony. The bread holds up too. After a few bites I added banana peppers and it took the sandwich up another level. My lame picture doesn’t do it justice, this is a steak lovers dream.
By the way the half of the sandwich I couldn’t finish I ate the next day and it was just as good reheated.

Terrible. Most of my sub went in the garbage. Bun soggy, bun completely fell apart. I ate at the restaurant so it happened right away after opening it. Waste of 7.35. Won’t be back here. Complete mess.

There’s no place like home. I moved away 11 years ago but this stays with me. Anytime anyone comes to Flint that I know I try and have them bring some back. I will be taking abkut 4 or 5 sandwiches back home to TN with me. You can’t get a good steak and onion like this down there. I hope what I take lasts a while…..LOL
