Big Jim’s absolutely lives up to the hype. The menu is huge, the food is outstanding, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everything was amazing, especially their Italian hoagie. A truly fantastic restaurant.

Big Jim’s in the Run is my new go to place for a great bite to eat. I tried them for the first time today and to food here is delicious. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. We got the Reuben and it was seriously the best Reuben sandwich I have ever ate. I’ve tried a lot of them around the area but this one was the best. The fried zucchini and gravy fries are also a big hit here! I highly recommend Big Jim’s in the Run! I’ll be back soon!

In from out of town. The local crowd of first-name-basis regulars was a good sign. Staff is efficient and attentive. Portions are huge and a good value. Sons had buger and fish sandwiches, we hade the meatballs and chicken parm dinners. Wedding soup was perfect, light and hearty all at once. Good cook on all food. Sauce on parm was a bit under seasoned, but still good. Locals ordered sandwiches and a basket of fries to share with side of gravy and cheese sauce for dipping. This seems to be the ticket at Big Jim’s. Left full with 2nd meal to go boxes filled. Hope to make it back again some day.

10/10 HOAGIES!

Great tucked away restaurant. Came to Pittsburgh for a day and drove directly here! Lovely local, tavern feel and kind staff.

We went straight for the hoagies which come in half portions! (Still enormous btw)

Eggplant Parmigiana Hoagie 10/10
– deliciously breaded, toasted bread honestly one of the best I’ve ever had!

Spicy Sausage Hoagie 10/10
– would most definitely order again, mild spicy sausage.

– ordered more sauce on the side per server recommendation and it was a wonderful choice!

Will be back next time in town!

Went for a morning run on the Eliza Furnace Trail and treated ourselves to open-faced sandwiches and a beer at Big Jim’s. The vibe is homey and local with warm wood tones and cozy signage all around. The menu was extensive with a variety of Italian-American cuisine and classic sandwiches and salads. The roast beef and gravy was exactly what I needed after my long run! Our server was super friendly and attentive too. We can’t wait to return to Greenfield to continue our menu exploration of Big Jim’s!

The food was tasty and the portions were huge. My husband and I had French dips. I ate mine over three days! (Steak knife in picture for scale)

We’ll be back to try another dish!

There was a is a little bit of a wait when we got there but we were seated fairly quickly. We had six people. Six people sat down about 15 minutes after us and our server took their order before us. It took her a half an hour to come over just to take our order. Then it took at least another half an hour for our food to come out. By the time our food came out there was one table left in the dining room. The server was very nice and the food was delicious So it kind of made up for the wait. I would definitely give it another try.

First of all the portions to say the least are huge. We had the veal parm with the salad which was huge to say it in a small way and probably a pound of pasta which I did not like at all. The veal was really good and very big but not your typical veal leg scallopini but a different cut such as breast I might have thought. It could have used more sauce but was still good. The salad was good but I did not like the dressing which was a red Italian. The pizza was pretty good with a lot of cheese but the flavor wasn’t there I needed seasoned. She wanted the Open face turkey sandwich and it wasn’t bad but again not a lot of flavor.
