Brendan and Kelly started their food truck after working at a garden therapy program on the Big Island of Hawaii in 2014. From Poke Bowls to Acai Bowls and Fresh Whole Fruit Smoothies, Big Island Bowls has always been focused on providing a whole foods diet of the freshest ingredients. Very pleasantly surprised by this find!
I wasn’t sure based on mixed reviews but my husband picked up takeout for us and it was delicious. We both got poke bowls and everything was very fresh and delicious. Serving size was perfect and we both enjoyed our meals.
My only complaint is that you can’t build you own bowl, you can only select from their premade choices.

I have always wanted to try this place. The store is really cool with lots of island themed stuff and food. We enjoyed the poke bowl with tuna and fresh veggies. Also chicken bowl and a fruit bowl loaded with fresh fruit and honey. It was a beautiful day outside so we sat outdoors and enjoyed the wonderful food. The staff are young but very friendly and kind. You can also get any number of different smoothies and drinks. The menu is very well put together. Enjoy.

Had a food truck event at our college and decided to try their poke bowl. Was very disappointed in serving size considering the 17$ price tag with tip (felt forced to tip when using card as the girl is blatantly staring at you while you process payment). The rice isn’t even sushi rice it was basmati, it was served hot with cold tuna chunks which inevitably made the sushi itself warm (not a pleasant experience). The tuna itself was very tough to eat, and I love sushi. Very poor quality as there was quite a few pieces with inedible silver skin. Was very disappointed in the food truck, maybe store itself is better quality but would not get again.

I finally made it to the Town of Tioga location. Every bit as wonderful as it ever was, freshness, kindness, and quality product at a fair price. This was a quick pickup lunch. The young lady working was beautiful, friendly, and efficient. Thank you for the great lunch!

This place is awesome! Very coastal and fun vibe to the restaurant. The food is delicious too! I usually get the Outrigger bowl which has all my favorite fruit. They have plenty of options and serve tacos too! Give it a try if you’re in the jonesville area.
