Delicious drinks and food. Highly recommend you visit this restaurant during your stay on Koh Samui island. The tuna steak was incredible and the deep fried bananas and honey were fantastic. All of the staff were so lovely and kind. We also received 2 plates for complimentary watermelon for dessert. 🙂

The food was some of the most flavoursome and well presented meals I’ve enjoyed in Thailand. For me the calamari is one of the best in the world prepared fresh by the chef. The restaurant is Thai owned, a refreshing change in Koh Samui where foreign ownership takes the lion share of the tourist market. I enjoyed Penang curry chicken, green papaya salad and the calamari. Owners are very kind. The service was excellent. Handwashing water, wonderfully scented hand towels after meals, and complimentary fruit. We ate here two evenings and wish we had more time. Highly recommended !!!

The Big Horn Restaurant in Chaweng is centrally located and easy to reach, making it a convenient choice when exploring the area. From the outside it may look like a rather average tourist restaurant, but this impression quickly disappears once you are seated. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive, even going so far as to regularly refill your wine without being asked. The food is freshly prepared, with the seafood standing out in particular. My tuna steak was cooked perfectly to the point – tender, flavorful, and of excellent quality. The wine list is small but well selected and complements the dishes nicely. A pleasant surprise and definitely worth a visit.

The restaurant is near the main street. It’s a bit busy, but okay. We ordered red curry with rice and an Australian steak. I have to say the meals were very delicious. The steak was good, but I’m sure they didn’t let it rest in foil and served it immediately. The curry was perfect, as usual. Many thanks!

Stopped in on a whim and ended up having one of the best seafood dishes I’ve had in Thailand. The mantis shrimp was incredibly fresh (you can actually see it before it’s cooked), perfectly prepared, and absolutely delicious, sweet, rich, and closer to lobster than shrimp.
The staff clearly know their seafood and were happy to recommend how to prepare it. Everything felt local, honest, and confident, no tourist fluff, just great cooking. Yes, it’s a bit messy to eat, but that’s part of the fun and 100% worth it.
If you’re in Koh Samui and want something memorable, don’t miss this place.

We ordered Platter 2 here (lobster, crab, calamari, oysters, prawns, and 2 sides). I loved that they ask how you want the items prepared for (we chose the calamari fried), so we could customize everything to our own taste.
The service honestly stood out even more than the food, and I can’t start without thanking the whole team. A sauce runs out —> a new one appears, a bit of ice melts —> it’s immediately wiped away, every single staff member was incredible.
We asked for the crab with curry sauce (which is already a bestseller), and I basically drank that sauce with my gloved hands, it was that good.
A personal note not directly related to the food: next time, instead of a platter with lobster, I would probably choose something more fish-focused. Lobster is good, but not very meaty and quite pricey. That said, our near-future plan is definitely to come back for a calamari-and-beer lunch 🙂
