I am going there tonight to get my favorite Shrimp egg foo yung I am always pleased with this restaurant . You may talk down on this place…BUT, for the most part it’s about the only place that’s 95% consistently great food!!!
Any restaurant is gonna have its off days and maybe this one is no exception…however, this is hands down the best Chinese food in Memphis and the surrounding area!!!

Stopped here on a whim and the food was really good. This was my first time eating here and I ordered the beef and broccoli dinner plate, the orange chicken dinner plate and a shrimp egg roll. The plates came with chicken fried rice and chicken egg rolls. Although the wait was a bit long I would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for a decently priced chinese food spot.

I have been looking for a neighborhood Chinese food spot. I’ve decided to check out all the places near my house. This was my first stop. It is a whole in the wall spot on Jackson Ave and in my opinion, the whole in the wall spots usually serve the best food. Too many to name up and down jackson and Summer Ave. I ordered the shrimp and chicken with broccoli and white rice. Two spring rolls that were great. It was really good. I am going to go back and try the sesame chicken and combo fried rice. This will be the meal I order at each place to judge. Anyhow, already can’t wait to go back.

As pictured, Big Hong Kong is clearly not a misnomer. The portion sizes are gargantuan. I ordered a quart of vegetable lo mein, and a quart of mixed vegetables with garlic sauce, and I have enough food to comfortably provide four to six meals.
The quality of the food is also there. The lo mein was flavorful and loaded with carrots, broccoli and bean sprouts. The mixed vegetables had a very spicy component that seem to be a red chili pepper sauce. The restaurant will also adjust heat based on your personal preference.
I will definitely be returning. I only docked the score half a star due to the fact that there was a considerable delay in order placement. However, the service was otherwise great. In the future, I’ll be ordering take-out over the phone in advance. And I plan to order frequently.

Exactly what I wanted from Americanized Chinese takeout. General Tso chicken was nice and crispy, egg rolls were great too. I have attached photos of the menu (as of September 2022) for those who, like me, had a hard time finding a menu online to place an order.

Food is delicious and the prices are great! However I ordered sweet and sour chicken and got no sweet and sour sauce and had a long wait for 20+ mins. I tried to call In my order ahead of time and they could not hear the last part over the phone. When I tried to call back several times they ignored it.

I believe there’s a new cook now. The food is no longer good and this was my favorite Chinese spot general tso sauce is runny now and the lo mein is disgusting hate to say that I have to find another Chinese spot.
