On February 14,26, I went there to purchase the box but the prices grown expensive. So I brought two lunches special, the plate I got was two pieces fish( Swai), five shrimp and fries with okra. They did not have okra, so I changed for hush puppies. However, they give me one piece of fish and cut it in half. The guy told me that they only give the head and the tail. The owner is charging for 4oz of fish, so if one fish is at 4oz you are not getting all the fish you paid for. Nevertheless, I paid for two pieces of fish. I was handed cuffed and placed in the police car because they refused to give me an extra piece of fish or refund my money. While talking to the police they kept showing the refund paper. The police told them that I was entitled to my refund because I did not get what I paid for. The whole time I was there only black people were supporting this business. The owner doesn’t care because he knows that he is cheating the community of people who support this business. I am telling y’all now to check your food and make sure you are getting what you paid for. If you paid for two pieces of fish you would receive to pieces of fish not one piece of fish because it is 4oz. Mine weighted in at 4oz because he weighted it in a box. I told the police to tell them to weight it on wax paper and they acted like they did not understand. I will never go back there and I hope the community follow. Now I see why they got 4.2 ranking. They guys that work there was liars and the police told them that too. They told me that I had to wait until the owner come to receive my refund. Then tell me that they don’t know when the owner would be there, the police said, “ No Yall Need To Give Her Her Refund!” I give all 1’s because there is no -0.

This was my first and last visit.
I placed an order for the red snapper lunch, and within two minutes of ordering, I noticed another lunch item on the menu that I wanted to try instead. I politely asked the cashier if I could change my order. I was told no because it was “after 3:00 PM,” even though the time was roughly 3:05 and the order had literally just been placed. I explained this calmly and reasonably. The request was still denied.
At that point, I considered canceling the order altogether. However, since it was my first time visiting, I decided to follow through just to experience the food. The food did not justify the attitude. The fish was mediocre at best nothing memorable, nothing worth recommending. The potato salad was outright unacceptable. It tasted as if every ingredient had been blended into a paste with the potatoes. No texture. No balance. No care. After finishing my meal, I sat in my car drinking my soda and watched people from the surrounding neighborhood continue to come in. It made me reflect on something deeper how often businesses operate in Black communities while showing little respect for the people who sustain them. I work hard for my money. Being refused a simple, immediate adjustment minutes after ordering over a rigid cutoff time is not policy enforcement; it’s poor customer service. We are the community. Without our dollars, establishments like this do not survive. Respect and basic accommodation should not be optional. Between the dismissive service, the average food, and the awful potato salad, I will not be returning. Poor service. Subpar food. Unacceptable experience.

Went here on a whim, this is a little hidden gem. I called to place an order. I had no idea of the menu the young lady was extremely nice and helpful. I ordered the red snapper, shrimp, and oyster meal plus 10 jumbo shrimp with hush puppies and fries. We received 3 trays of food. Me and my sister split it. Everything was crisp but still moist. We will be back. And the young lady was even nicer in the restaurant. It’s small inside , only a few tables but its nice.

I have been anticipating the Big Fish Market all weekend and due to the holiday I barely made it here today.. I was excited to try one of favorite cuisines and I was not disappointed… I had the Lunch Special #2 3 pieces of fish of your choice (I went with the Red Snapper) and 5 medium shrimp both are breaded and deep fried to delicious crunch served with two sides (I went with potatoes salad and fries ).. I enjoyed the potato salad but next time I’ll get another side beside the fries.. beside the fries the food was great.. the service was friendly and fast.. called my order in and I must say it was the smoothest phone order I have ever placed.. the prices were great.. honestly no complaints and I look forward to coming again .. highly recommend you come check it out.. can’t wait to try some new sides!!!

Decent at best, nothing special. Food was cooked and prepared to serve in a timely manner. Fish was good, could have used additional seasoning; coleslaw was the best part of the meal. Hot sauce was not “hot sauce”; very watery and had an after taste that matched vinegar.

Overall, this meal was to par, but not rivaling top seafood spots in Riverside.

Recommendation: I would give the Big Fish Market another taste to expand my view of the menu. Again, there are better spots to eat, however, if you run across this restaurant give them a shot!

2 out of 5. Mostly ok but nothing really great. Hot sauces were definitely watered/vinegared down as other reviews have commented. Fish is cooked well. Shrimps are 51-60 bags so they are small. Coleslaw was not fresh so it must be made in one great batch and not again for a few days. Overall for the price it’s average. I’ve eaten here several times over a few years and nothing has improved or changed much. The high reviews this place gets must be its quantity for price (lots of breading) and its a bit cheaper than its surrounding competition and one of the few seafood places in moreno valley. Also as a side note I’m not sure how often they change the cooking oil but the fried shrimp had a musky aftertaste.

This place is truly a hidden gem! The fish is incredibly fresh, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. Everything was made exactly as ordered, and the flavors were spot on. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. If you’re looking for great food and an awesome experience, this fresh fish market is definitely worth checking

Everytime I come here it’s never a line, I love those hushpuppys and the fish is “FRESH” never frozen, you can also call in your order, they do not accept EBT, wheelchair accessible parking and entrance, cash or debit.
