Great staff & good. Great home cooking. One question I had once was concerning vegetarian, there was a salad bar & lots of really good vegetables, so I think a vegan could find lots of food also. The staff were pleasant & attentive. Parking was tight however once inside everything was really outstanding.

Always wonderful food! We were last here for Sunday Dinner. Don’t miss the fabulous fried catfish ,it melts in your mouth and superb fried chicken. My husband loves their ham and beans and the green beans were tasty too. We both greatly enjoyed the bread pudding, pecan pie and banana pudding. They have the best brownies I’ve ever tasted. Top their desserts with their Bourbon Crème it is so wonderful! We go out of our way to stop here.

Late last fall, I went to Big Ed’s Buffet in Paducah.
The parking lot was full.
I wanted to meet Big Ed. I do not know why. You want to meet the man when a place feeds you well. You want to put a face to the work. I asked once, without making it a question that needed an answer. The woman at the register said he was not in. She said it kindly. This was enough.
The servers moved with purpose.
I ate at a small table near the window.
The food was honest. Fried catfish done right. Greens cooked long enough to be soft. Rolls that came warm and stayed warm.
The light was going down outside. People came in hungry and left quieter. A boy spilled his drink and no one made a trouble of it. The place took care of him. This mattered.
I thought about how you rarely meet the people who do you good. That’s Big Ed. He feeds you well and asks for nothing back. You do not need to meet the man to know his work is real.

This is what I’m talking about when I say a GOOD buffet. DELICIOUS food. Only thing I didn’t like were the greens.
FRESH clean buffet
Assortment of desserts
Salad bar
Sunday after church crowd could be hectic but it dies down

This is my second time hear, I was going threw traveling again and wanted to return. This time I have to say I wasn’t impressed. The deserts wernt good cake was dry bread pudding isn’t at all what I call bread pudding. The fried claims were hard I choked and didn’t eat anymore of them. Mac and Cheese taste like it is not home made. This isn’t like it was last year when I stopped. Servers were very nice.

So glad that we stopped and ate at this place! By far one of the best small-town feeling buffets we’ve ever eaten at! Everything we ate was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the staff provided exceptional customer-service! We will definitely be giving Big Eds another visit in our travels

I have passed this place a million times & never stopped in. Decided to stop in one day. It was a slow day for em so, that was good for us(it is a buffet). My time there I noticed….The place was dated. The buffet was smaller than I expected. For such a big building vs how small the buffet was, was a surprise to me. But the food on the buffet was freaking amazing. Home cooked style buffet. I was stuffed when I left. The dozens of cakes, pies & cobblers did me in. The atmosphere was nice & old. I would recommend going at least once. If your older, maybe more. It just seems like that’s where the older generation go for a good meal. I didn’t ever go bc it’s next to “the hood” but I think I’ll stop in again sometime.
