From the moment you arrive, there’s a fun, relaxed vibe with games, fire pits and plenty happening to keep everyone entertained. The food was a big hit — the brisket sangers were delicious, the loaded fries were a standout, and portions were generous.
It’s the kind of place where there’s something interesting to look at in every corner, making it really easy for families to settle in and enjoy themselves. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and it works just as well for kids as it does for adults.
No bookings needed, which makes it an easy option for a spontaneous visit. If you’re looking for great BBQ, a lively setting and a family-friendly spot in Port Melbourne, this one’s well worth checking out.
The fatty bit of the brisket was nice but the rest was a bit dry. The pork was insanely dry….just not enjoyable to eat whatsoever. The sauces had way too much sugar. The spicy sausage was nice though, we ended up buying an extra one because we were still hungry. It was frustrating to have so much of the plate taken up by chips since we try to avoid eating them. I’ve eaten a at a lot of bbq places in Melb recently and it’s not the worst but def not the best. Probably sits somewhere in the middle. I think if they fixed the dryness of the meat it would be so much better.
The ribs themselves looked the part: nice color, shiny glaze, and the flavor of the sauce and smoke was genuinely tasty. Problem is, the first two ribs (and honestly a 1 more) were almost completely meatless—just bone with a bit of sauce on top. When you’re charging $28, I expect every rib to have a respectable amount of meat that actually comes off the bone, not a couple of “bonus bones” in the rack. Portion-to-price ratio just felt off.
Service was friendly and quick, atmosphere is cool, but at these prices the kitchen really needs to be more consistent with the meat yield. I wanted to love it, but I walked away feeling ripped off on the main event (the ribs). Happy to try again if they tighten things up, because the potential is there.
Great atmosphere, live music, friendly service, and genuinely delicious barbecue. Highly recommended for anyone who loves proper smoked meats. I’ll definitely be back!
After experiencing it for myself, I can confidently say it lived up to the hype! It was truly amazing — especially the lively and energetic atmosphere.
The staff were all calling out loudly, which made it easy to hear when your number was up.
If I get the chance to pass by again, I’d definitely love to come back!
Food portion were good and served quite quickly
I thought the sauces on the meats were a little too sweet
