Both meals were not what was typical. The 1/2 chicken dinner was burnt, the macaroni and cheese was dry and the potatoe salad was not fresh. The charge for a brisket dinner was a sandwich with the same sides. I called and left a message, have not heard from anyone.

INCREDIBLE restaurant. The people that work for the restaurant are incredible, the owners are amazing also. The food is EXCELLENT. It’s a beautiful restaurant, a vibe. The aura/energy is unbeatable. Family owned and you definitely feel welcomed everytime you come through the building. TOP TIER RECOMMENDATION!! If you haven’t already been, you need to go TODAY!! Family friendly, great pricing, the food? Absolutely worth the trip.

Like others that have left reviews, I too attempted to come here at least 5 times, and they were closed during the hours they were supposed to be open. I ordered about $70 worth of food. This is a BBQ joint but my burger tasted like it was cooked on a kitchen stove, no char. The brisket was mushy and served like pulled pork, and I couldn’t finish the Mac. Ribs were ok but the potato salad was the star of the show. I probably won’t be back but you should check it out for yourself.

The smoked turkey leg was fantastic (hot) and worth the trip alone. The ribs & chicken were great but they were lukewarm by the time we got home to eat (10 minute drive home). Always get the medium or large sides. We got smalls and laughed at the amount of amazing tasting items (collards, Mac & cheese, beans, and potato salad). My only complaint about the sides, is there wasn’t enough for leftovers. The chicken was a tiny bit overdone, but even Jackie Robinson missed some swings.

The food is amazing and delicious. The meat falls off the bone, and it is juicy.
The mac and cheese has a nice kick to it, and the coward greens are cooked to perfection.
This food joint is worth every penny and place to take your date, if you want to show off those sweet hot spot skills.

First time here, been to other bbq places in Tally but this has been the best so far!!! Brisket is 15/10, chicken and ribs on point. The greens are cooked with turkey and shrimp is on point. Had a group of 10, plenty of seating, food came out quick. Outside is fun with cornhole, card tables, big connect four, music is jammin and best of all you can see the actual smokers. Will be back for sure!!!

I will be the first to admit I’m a barbecue snob. I grew up in Mississippi and barbecue has been one of my favorite foods. Since I can remember. I have never had such good collard greens and mac and cheese with potato salad as I had tonight at Big D’s. It reminded me of growing up in south Mississippi and eating the barbecue there. The ribs will fall off the bone and might as well been considered. Perfection. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Even their Natty light was a great accompaniment to such a good plate of food. Cannot recommend this place hard enough.

I moved to Tallahassee over 4 months ago, and have attempted to try this place over 9 times (no exaggeration). Everytime I’ve went, they were said to be open, all non-holidays and normal business hours as well, and are never open. They even posted on their Instagram a video of them grilling THAT DAY and I went at 6pm and they were closed. I’m convinced it’s an inside joke and I’m the only person delusional thinking this place is a real establishment.
