I’m going to be dreaming about that cornbread! Everything we had was delicious, there wasn’t a single miss. We’re usually not fans of this style of mac & cheese, but even that blew us away. The owner was incredible and took the time to walk us through the menu, which made our first visit even better. We’re already planning to come back with friends and family. The meats were perfectly cooked, the BBQ sauces were spot-on. Honestly, this is the best BBQ I’ve ever had. So glad we found this place!

I got the sliced brisket melt(with sweet BBQ), with Mac & cheese, potato salad, pickle, and St. Louis Gooey butter cake for dessert.
Hands down. The best food ever. Usually, I could have things like this and not be full, but that’s not the case. I was so full I saved the cake for later. Brisket was juicy, not dry at all, no complaints here, will definitely be back!

Beyond the fact that this is the best BBQ I’ve ever had, the sides and service truly set this place apart. I’m going to be dreaming about that cornbread! Even items we usually skip, like that style of mac & cheese, blew us away. The meats were perfectly cooked, and the sauces were spot-on. The experience started perfectly thanks to the incredible owner who walked us through the menu. We’re so glad we found this place and are already planning to come back with friends and family!

A group of us from Northern IN rode down & when it was time to eat I googled places to eat. BBQ sounded good to everyone so that’s where we went. Not a bad choice either. Everyone had something different, the food was excellent! We could smell the food before we even walked in, I knew then it was gonna be good. We will make the trip back again! I would definitely get the baked beans again along with any of the meats!

The atmosphere screamed homemade fresh. I was excited to try the shredded chicken, potato salad, and kettle chips. The wait was about half an hour with me and another waiting in the dining room. But who cares if it’s fresh made, that’s expected. BBQ sauce was in dispensers on table. Very average tasting. The kettle chips were bagged not fresh made . Potato salad was very grocery deli flavored. The roll/bun for one sandwich was very small. This was a great disappointment. Definitely not a $16 meal. But maybe it is in Indy.

Was visiting the area for a Hamilton Heights football game and was referred to Big Dog’s from someone local. Took a party of 7 in. Got our food quick. It was fresh and hit. Meat was great and sauce was tasty. Fries were also very good. Overall we enjoyed the food. Location was great. The decor and feel of the place is very cool. Unique spot. Would recommend!

Small town and home cooked BBQ joint. Awesome decor, friendly staff, and fun place to eat. The building is really neat and all the different decor makes the place feel like I take a blast though time !

Portion size were large on meat. Nothing special with the bun. BBQ sauces excellent. Really wish I would have gotten dessert looked amazing. Smoke on the meat was perfect, very tender brisket!
I am all about supporting local business so I’m going to land a 5 star. This place is no big Hoffa, but it’s very way better than Squeelers.

I got the shredded chicken and pulled pork. The chicken was a disappointment and the pork was a little bit better. The people were very nice and the atmosphere was nice. The sauces were good. If the sauce was used on a Costco rotisserie chicken it would be a big improvement. But I will go back and try the brisket and sausage.
