This place was busy. Line back to the door. But it was worth it! Service was as fast as they could when the ice cream is made to order. It’s was delicious. I had a dipped cone. Perfection. So many choices. So many choices on top of choices. I recommend this place, just not during fair week. It’s to busy to drive down the road, let alone grab a milkshake for the road.

Custard was spectacular, milkshake was perfectly creamy. Tons of flavors and excellent service.
Also easy to get to and plenty of parking. It is popular so be prepared to wait in line for a bit.

Really good homemade ice cream, friendly staff, and a perfect stop to cool off on a hot summer’s night. They have lots of options, from soft serve, gelato and hard ice cream, to sundaes, milkshakes and ice cream sandwiches & cakes. They make ice cream daily in the back and have been in business for over 50 years. A great stop between Dunkirk and Fredonia, either on your way to – or from – the lake!

My wife and I came back to town for a benefit and family reunion and had to stop for ice cream. I grew up in Dunkirk and being at the Big Dipper brought back so many memories from my childhood. What a special place this is and the ice cream is just as amazing as it always was!!!
