Love their new location (lots of parking, a bit closer for me). There’s always indoor seating at this location, so you can dine-in if you choose.

The ribs were good and I enjoyed the bbq sauce . The fried whiting had a good flavor however it was not crispy at all. I was not a fan of the sides that I ordered (greens and mac and cheese). The greens were very bland. The mac and cheese seemed to have some type of cheese sauce mixed in it. The taste of the cheese was similar cheese wiz and I honestly couldn’t finish it. The banana pudding was watery and the wafers were mushy. Overall, I was disappointed with the food especially for the price I paid and the amount of time I had to wait (40+ minutes).

I got an Alaskan combo with broccoli, potatoes and corn. I also got Mac n cheese and a banana pudding on the side. The seafood was awesome, everything else not so much. The banana pudding was extremely runny. The pudding was not firm at all and the Mac n cheese was undercooked and underseasoned. Don’t know if I’ll be going back. Might stick to the oriental seafood place on laurel road

The food LOOKED flavorful but it literally had no kind of seasoning (taste) to it . I was choking on hard pieces that was inside the fish ,the string beans were chewy(rubber) and the garlic mashed potatoes had too much potatoe skin in them with no butter . I’m VERY upset that we paid $50 for THAT . I was better off going to Wendy’s .

Winner winner chicken dinner. Wife and I gave this place a try as we love soul food from time to time. I had the chicken wing dinner (see picture) with green beans and Mac and cheese. It was wonderful and the quantity was enough to give you a belly full. My wife had the fried whiting, Mac and cheese and broccoli. She commended the establishment on how light the breading was and appreciate how it was not over done. I also had a side of mozzarella sticks and a fruit punch. If you stuck a gun to my head and said you must say something bad about the food. I would recommend getting the broccoli without the garlic butter as it made it a bit salty and the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks was a bit sweet for my preference. (Please note these are NOT good reasons not to try this place as they are very simple fixes.)
The prices are beyond affordable and reasonable and the service is spectacular. This is clearly a family owned business and they make you feel like family as well. Y’all know how important good service is to me and my reviews. I happily left a tip.
I would give this place another star if I could it is that good and we were that satisfied. They certainly earned themselves another visit and likely many more after that visit. If you were on the fence make the jump today.

We ordered the Seafood Combo with Alaskan Crabs legs, shrimp , corn on the cob, baked potatoes & brocoli. (My hubby requested seafood for Father’s day.) The food was awesome!! Cooked to perfection. It was definitely enough for 2 people. Staff was courteous & helpful. Will definitely be going back. ♥️

Straight to the point. I ordered the shrimp combo and added a sausage and boiled eggs. The eggs and sausage were delicious. The shrimp was limp as though they were precooked with very little seasoning and sauce. I was confused as I was told their seasoning was similar to old bay but I couldn’t see it or taste it. My daughter ordered the coconut shrimp. She said there was no seasoning at all. Both of my granddaughters ordered a shrimp platter I payed too much for for the look and the taste. My daughter did say the mac n cheese was delicious. It had just come out the oven.
I am disappointed, I hope they can fix these issues. The people there were so nice. Just because of the hospitality I would like to go back and taste better.

I picked up food for the first time and will definitely be back again. The staff is extremely helpful and went above and beyond. My father loves raw oysters but is no longer able to open them, so he hasn’t been able to have them in a few years. I asked if they would possibly be able to open them for me, since I have no idea how, and they didn’t even hesitate. The garlic shrimp is delicious, and my dad loved the oysters. It may not seem like a big deal, but their kindness allowed my dad to enjoy something that he thought he would never be able to have again. Thank you so much for your kindness and fabulous service!
