I wanted to order ribs but they ran out. I ordered the oxtail with two sides (macaroni and cheese and beans and rice). The mac and cheese and oxtails were good. I only got the beans and rice because they did not have seasoned rice. I did not care for the beans and rice and when I go there again if they don’t have seasoned rice I definitely won’t get the beans and rice. They would probably taste good to someone else but beans and rice how it was prepared is not my thing. The ribs tips were great even though I only got two pieces because my friends ate the rest.

Tried the 2 meat plate with 2 sides and the rib plate with coleslaw and cornbread. The ribs were nicely done- not a fan of the bbq sauce though. The Mac was good – the chicken was Ok. Everything was just bathed in bbq sauce. The cornbread cupcake was very very dry and old. At first I didn’t get a couple of the sides we ordered and had to go back in twice to get the correct order. We got a pop on the house . Fries were seasoned nicely and the bean were delicious!

My recent visit to Big Daddy’s BBQ & Soul Food was a major letdown. I had heard mixed reviews but decided to give it a shot because my husband was eager to try it. Unfortunately, the food was downright unappetizing, and I hate to say that because I usually find something to enjoy, even if it’s just the sides.
I ordered the BBQ pork shoulder, but it tasted like a pork loin baked in the oven and then doused in BBQ sauce—not what you’d expect from a BBQ place. The greens had a decent flavor but were so overcooked they turned to mush, as if they had been left in the pot for hours too long. As for the spaghetti, it felt like it came straight out of a jar of Ragu, and to make matters worse, it was stone-cold, not just cool but actually cold.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for quality BBQ or soul food. I hope they improve their dishes, but as of now, they definitely didn’t hit the mark for me.

Yams taste like they were poured out of the can dry old. Baked beans are just pork n beans , shoulder tastes old and dry. Ribs no smoked flavor at all.Just lots of sweet baby rays sauce

When you try and support black business and it’s always something. They don’t even wipe off the styrofoam containers they serve the food in which should have been the 1st red flag so when it sit it down now I have BBQ sauce all over my clothes. Instead of telling me they didn’t have certain side they just gave me double Mac and cheese. Meat tasted like lighter fluid and order a fried chicken meal but was given BBQ instead of telling me they didn’t have it. Sorry but y’all have to do better

Got the catfish meal with fries and coleslaw. The fries were WAY too salty. I also did not appreciate the cashier giving herself a tip on my debit card when I was going to tip her in cash.

I really enjoyed the food that I got. The ribs and rib tips were very tender, the baked beans were really good and I got a side of macaroni it need some salt and pepper other than that it was alright, I was disappointed that they didn’t have any cake at all you would think they would make enough to last all day since it was early in the day that I went to them.

I should have read the reviews before buying their food. You don’t smell the food when you’re walking to the door Portion size is not worth the price. The corn bread was good and I don’t like corn bread. Rib tips were fatty. Macaroni was bland, yams were bland and not cooked thoroughly. Spaghetti was dry and spicy. Chicken was bland and dry. The 2 stars was for the customer service. Sorry, I won’t be back. I ate most of it because I paid $40+ on it ♀️

Didn’t know that it wasn’t really for dinning in but once I got home, those rib tips were fire. Jerk chicken was very good too, candied yams were amazing. I wanted more yams.
