First time eating Big Daddy’s. Brisket sandwich was delicious and the blues bbq sauce was excellent, fried catfish cooked perfectly, fries good, fried okra was okay. All around food was delicious, great portions!

What a masterpiece on a Sunday. They were busy but worked extremely efficient in terms of taking orders and serving them. For my food I got a large jerk rib tips. Literally the best jerk tips I’ve ever had. Best ribs in Indiana hands down!

I drove from Chicago to try this restaurant because my favorite Chicago bbq spot was closed for the weekend. This place was recommended to me by a friend. The rib tips tasted perfectly fine, not Chicago style but good enough. The problem is that I was sick in less than two hours after eating them. I hadn’t eaten anything else all day, so it had to be the rib tips that gave me food poisoning.
Two stars instead of 0 stars because I ordered the catfish fillets for my mom, and she liked them (and didn’t get sick).

Just left Big Daddy’s BBQ for the first time in around 3 years since I first moved back to Gary, and the rib tips are still delicious just like I remember. I ordered a large rib tip meal with sauce on the side like I always used to and the rib tips were so tender. This has been my favorite barbecue location in the area for way over a decade ever since all of the Kenny’s Chicken and Rib locations closed down.

I used to have my man come here every weekend. I’m not sure what changed but the food is often too salty. So bad that its basically no flavor other then saltiness. I’m not sure if they are over seasoning or what. To make it worse it also looks like they raised their prices when the quality has gone down. It wasn’t always this way. I loved eating here. Other than that it’s a very friendly and welcoming environment. Hopefully they get whoever off the meal prepping and grill because they putting high blood pressure in the food.

We ordered to go tgen put it in our car, explored the nearby market, and then drove to the beach to have a picnic. Even after waiting to eat and food getting a little cold, it was still delicious, Seasoning was spot on, super flavorful, and meat cooked perfectly. Coleslaw and baked beans are a little too sweet for my liking but still tasted great.

I was the only person in line one lady was bagging up another other the second lady went to the restroom understandable. But when she came back she literally tries to take someone else’s order and I’m standing in front of the cash register. I had an online order to pick up. Second I ordered sauce on the food and paid an extra for a cup of sauce and still didn’t get it. The food was cold and it didn’t taste the same. The last three times I’ve been there there has been a problem with my order. I’m done with this place… Steve Harvey would’ve been upset
