I rarely give 5 stars across the board, but I know this incredible establishment for its other location, and this one is 13 minutes away from my son in laws compound. This order was going back to Cheeseville.
For starters, the scent. Will bring you close to tears. I’m so glad the drive back home was no longer than 2 hours.
The picture is a double rib tip order. Doesn’t it look grand on the fine dinnerware? This is the real deal.

Big Daddy’s BBQ is a hidden gem. The dinning area is clean with plenty of seating. I tried the rib tips with a side of collard greens. Both were awesome with the meat being fresh and meaty. The staff are extremely friendly.

I was so hopefully for this Big Daddy’s BBQ location. My expectations were NOT met! My ribtips lacked sauce even though I asked for sauce and my fries were very greasy with not a lick of BBQ sauce on them! I’m so disappointed! The staff however was very nice.

I loved the turkey tips. I bought and shared a big tray of turkey tips. Heard no complaints on the turkey tips. Will have to return for more turkey tips……………….Turkey tips.

The service, even for take-out, was down-to-earth friendly, and still professional. The inside looks like a nice spot to eat if I go back for dine-in. Glad I found out about this place, and hope they continue as they were.

1st time ordering, ordered one pound of brisket, received 3/4 of a pound of fat only. Makes complete sense why the restaurant was empty on a Sat during dining time. And, they charge you an additional $1 to pick up the food you paid for. If you want garbage, this place is for you! If not, try anywhere else!

It has been great to see this company grow since I first saw them as the second food segment on the Steve Harvey show when it was filmed in Chicago. I know that because I was the first. I was a home cook resolving a family rivalry, but Big Daddy’s was real deal. I have enjoyed their food since. I usually go to Hammond location, but finally decided to try the newer one in Schererville. I will say I was honestly expecting a knock off version, but my goodness the sauce was so on point, STILL! The turkey tips were seasoned beyond perfection and that dag-on link. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE!!!! That thing is seasoned DOWN!!! I ordered online and I can appreciate the text messages to update on my meal being ready.

What a great place! The food seasoning was a good surprise. Great family atmosphere. Small beer bar in back. Family games are available as you listen to live music. Soul, Jazz and Blues. So good, definitely worth the trip. Watch, their only open till 8:00pm!
