AMAZING atmosphere!! As soon as I walked in it felt very welcoming with a live band playing and our hostess Cassidy receiving us. We made a reservation and there was barely any wait at all. Our server Emily was very efficient and kind, and our food came very quickly. Food was absolutely delicious and there were so many options to choose from. It was my first time at a Cajun restaurant and my standards are through the roof now. From start to end it was a great dining experience and I would 100% recommend to anyone!!

This was a great place. Our server Missy was outstanding to say the least. Everyone else was great too. She was super friendly and very personable. She was on point with everything. Our food was so delicious. My drink was amazing. I had a Smokey mezcal margarita. My ribeye, collard greens & cheddar mashed potatoes were fantastic. Big portions. The atmosphere was quaint. Live music. I would highly recommend giving it a try. Unfortunately I only took a picture of my chocolate Nutella beignets.

Haven’t been here for 12 years- it’s not really close to my house, and a few life circumstances have limited our ability to dine out. (Caregiving for elderly inlaws.) My wife suggested we do a post Mardi Gras visit, and I’m really glad we did. Popped in for Sunday brunch, and we had an exceptional experience. The portions were huge, and the food was delicious AND hot. I can’t remember the last time I actually got hot scrambled eggs in any restaurant- usually they’re lukewarm at best. My eggs today were hot for the entire meal; my chicken fried steak was great, huge portion, very authentic flavor. Definitely won’t be another 12 years until we return.
2 minor quibbles, both pertaining to their website.
1. The website says Sunday brunch is 11-3. We got there at 11:30, but they don’t open until noon.
2. On the website, the text for brunch says “$30 Bottomless Cocktails & Southern Favs Sat. 11:30AM & Sun. 11AM Until 3pm”. The $30 is only for the drinks, and it only covers mimosas, sangria, and Bloody Mary’s. The text is a bit confusing, and when I first read it, I thought the $30 was for food and drinks. I know that’s an exceptionally good value (and unlikely), but a few tweaks to the website might be in order.
But overall, a great experience, we’ll be back.

Great service Great Food. The food was seasoned incredibly well. My only concern was the vinegar coleslaw was a bit too acidic and washed over the food a little. The fried chicken is not how I would usually imagined a fried chicken dinner but I liked it. My boyfriend loved the catfish and said the drink was very strong. If you like country music this place is definitely for you on a Thursday. It’s a little noisy and the food does take a while to come out but It’s definitely recommended.

Pleasantly surprised at the ambiance of this place. We walked in on a Sunday at 12:30 for brunch and there was live entertainment and a nice energy to the place. We were seated right away. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered our drinks which were delicious. Our appetizer took a little while to come out but they were yummy. We ordered our entrees and they didn’t come out right away which was ok with us because we were still digesting our apps. Only issue I had was that the food was lukewarm. Overall a great experience and looking to going back to try out the dinner menu.

We went to Long Island for the weekend to visit one of our four children and while we were out and about we came across this place, New Orleans style food and decided it was going to be for dinner Saturday night(reservations are recommended). They had a live band and that was pretty cool, the place is like a pub style bar/restaurant with a cool Fat Tuesday vibe. My wife and daughter had gumbo and mussels with a side of jalapeno cornbread and I had burnt ends in texas bbq sauce over grits(if you are a bbq fan you would really enjoy this one. The food and service was very good, the music was a bit loud but hey it was a band. This place gets pretty packed on the weekends so just be ready for a wait even if you have reservations. #kulinarymafia approved

Welcome to Big Daddy’s, where the rum punch transports you to the serene beaches of the last island you visited. The Pretty Meg Wings, slow-smoked and crispy fried, are undeniably some of the best in the area; one of my personal favorites, complemented with chipotle-mango sauce. The Lady Day Crab Cake, though good, was a bit too soft for my liking, I would have preferred a crispier exterior. Now, the Asian-Cajun ribs stole the show, slow smoking and flash frying, paired elegantly with Thai chili BBQ sauce. Whether you choose a seat at the bar or at a table, you would find it very spacious, offering a very comfortable experience. During my visit, I noticed numerous children, confirming that the establishment truly ticks the family-friendly box. Big Daddy’s is a must if you crave the delightful appetizers as mentioned above. On my next visit, I’m eager to explore their enticing array of entrees.

Very nice place. Although I only had a Caesar salad and a drink, the salad was truly amazing. I can’t wait to go back.

Finally dined here, but was a little disappointed based on all of the reviews. Parking here is very limited, especially when this restaurant and the neighboring restaurants are busy. The decor and atmosphere is eclectic and appropriate. Service was ok; no staff greeted us after entering the restaurant and we were standing and waiting for some staff interactions with us, but was unsure who were staff/servers (all while the restaurant appeared mostly empty). After a little while, we were told by someone sitting at the bar (who appeared to be a patron with a beverage) to choose any available table and that someone will be with us soon. The wait was not long for service though and did get a little better afterwards. The blackened gator appetizer was not perfectly done, some pieces were tender, but some were slightly tough and a bit chewy. The sauce for it tasted very acidic too. The gumbo was actually very delicious. The creole jambalaya dish was good, but needed some more flavor and some garnish for presentation. The seafood étouffée also needed more flavor/spices; some pieces of the crawfish tasted overcooked and the shrimp was not succulent. The Louisiana shrimp and grits dish was very good, especially the habanero-goat cheese grits. The habanero oil and other hot sauces served on the side did help add some heat and flavor to some dishes. Our group shared the bananas foster dessert, which was actually outstanding. Did not meet our overall expectations based on the reviews and what were presented, though there are some positive aspects. Do like there are some daily specials and live music on certain days/time.

Went for dinner on Friday night and 6/6:15pm is the perfect time to arrive as we were seated right away and the restaurant was still quite empty. The music started at 7pm and that is when it started to get very crowded so get there early and hang out for the music. The place definitely has a great vibe and atmosphere. We ordered the pasta jambalaya, the pig out, and a side of grits. I was torn between the pasta jambalaya and shrimps and grits. I ended up choosing the pasta with a side of grits and it was definitely the right choice. The pasta was delicious and a nice portion, it was quite spicy on its own and we almost asked for extra spicy(I would not recommend getting it any hotter). The pasta also was delicious leftover a few days later. The grits were a great choice as side, they were fluffy and delicious. They did not taste spicy while I was eating them but when I reheated them the next day they did. I did see someone who ordered the shrimps and grits and it looked quite soupy and I do not think you would really get to enjoy the taste of the grits with that meal. The mussels also looked extremely delicious. As for the pig out, I have ordered similar meals at other restaurants so I was expecting a very large amount of food but when it came I was underwhelmed by the amount that they gave. It was still a good amount of food but nowhere near what I was expecting but all of the items were very delicious and cooked very nicely. If I had to choose one I would definitely go with the brisket. Next time for the price I would probably just order 2 different sandwiches as opposed to the pig out.
