Yummy new spot. The breads are toasted, onions are grilled, and the fries are seasoned well. I enjoyed a juicy burger and my husband had a delicious cheesesteak. Hidden gem! It’s a remodeled gas station but well done.

The location has recycled with a couple of concepts, but this one—Big Daddy’s Cheesesteaks—needs to stay in NRH! THAT was a cheesesteak! The meat was so tangy and those peppers were fantastically grilled. Stop by and enjoy! Give this place a shot. And the fries are twice fried and perfectly salted. Lawd have mercy!

Kids liked the grilled cheese kids meals. Looks like grilled cheese on Texas Toast. Fries were pretty good. I got Cheesesteak Fries regular and Italian Sausage. Bread was fresh and nice on the ilItalian sFries. (Just not a fan of Italian Sausage in general), but the loaded Fries were pretty killer. For sure going back for kids meals and loaded fries.

All 48 reviews, and many of the images look amazing. We decided to order takeout on April 29th and got two Philly cheesesteaks, opting for provolone cheese and paid a total of $34.27. My wife picked up the order, and when we opened it, my first thought was “WOW — there’s a lot of beef.”

However, I couldn’t see any cheese, and the steak itself was really dry. As for the fries — oh my gosh — they were so salty I could barely keep eating them. I was really hoping for a classic Philly cheesesteak experience, but I left very disappointed.

Unfortunately, in this case, the pictures didn’t reflect the reality.

Food was okay, we had fried pickles, phillys and fries. I really liked the fries. The Philly was a little… plain. No sauces, mushrooms or peppers. The staff was super sweet. It’s a cute little hole in the wall philly shack. I probably wouldn’t go back, but it was decent.

So for starters: The cheesesteak is a little on the pricier side, you get a cheesesteak, lg fries and drink, you can see this going up to $19 a meal (around $16 for reg fries and drink)

With that being said… Fries are same price or cheaper than alternatives, and way better than most places (in fact, at this price range, only 2 restuarants in a 25 mile range come to mind). They are bang on solid! Well salted, they’re great!

The cheesesteaks are hit and miss. If you go in during a very busy period, they can come out a little under or over seasoned, but if it’s lunch and there’s just a couple people in there, they absolutely nail it. Also, the cheasesteaks are loaded up on meat! So when it comes out they’re amazing!

It’s also not the slop that some cheesesteak places put in, and try to drown in onions and cheese. It’s solid meat that has just the right amount of onion and cheese to compliment it, not the other way around.

Their sauce could use some tweaks but it also great.

All-in-all, I highly recommend trying them out!

I’m sure because they just opened up, they have to iron out consistency, but they’re doing great for starting out. 🙂

We gave it a try and will definitely give it a second! We’re big fans of cheesesteaks from up north—so no cheese wiz for us. We usually go for white American cheese, but unfortunately, it was out of stock. We added peppers and they weren’t sweet, which is our personal preference, and the meat was just a bit dry and could’ve used a touch more seasoning.

That said, the rolls were amazing which is key, and the fried pickles and fries were great! We also really appreciated that you delivered to Keysworth—huge bonus! The two young men who delivered were super nice.

A couple of suggestions: please be sure to include condiments and utensils in Keyworth deliveries, and it would be great to have a way to tip electronically, since we didn’t have any cash on hand.

Looking forward to trying it again soon!

I went to Big Daddy‘s to grab dinner for the family on their opening day. I carried out my order. We got five cheesesteaks, fries, and a drink. I feel like it came in at a pretty reasonable price considering the cheesesteak was loaded with meat, onions, and cheese. I added banana peppers and sweet peppers to it. Everything was excellent, and the staff were extremely nice. I was told that everything was made from scratch using their own recipes. Also…why would you only get one cheese topping when you can get all three (whiz, American, provolone).

Absolutely loved the food and the staff was amazing both times I went this past week!! First time I took my kids and we had a blt, the chicken cheesesteak and the cheesesteak fries. The second time I went with a friend and we both got cheesesteak and added some of the extra things like peppers and mayo and shared a side of fries. Definitely going to be a regular spot.

Had the Philly and French fries, great! Their signature sauce went very well with them. I would come back.
