Big Daddy’s has delicious bagel sandwiches and coffee. I especially like their 4 corners bagel sandwich. Their drip coffee is also exceptional. My favorite one is their snickerdoodle flavor. Definitely a great place to get breakfast. It’s become sort of a new addiction.

I’ve been a regular at another bagel joint for some time, but a customer of mine recommended checking out Big Daddy’s “everything bagel; but the one with Italian seasoning, not the one with salt, with the scallion cream cheese.” Good enough description, or so I thought, but I figured I would figure it out at the time of order.
I walked into the location and approached the first visible register with a menu behind it. During the walk, I had three employees just stare at me as I walked to the counter, stopping their conversation yet saying nothing to me or each other. I was the only customer in the place, so it felt awkward. Odd start, but okay.
When I approached the register, the employee still didn’t greet me and was a few feet from the register, appearing ready to walk the other direction. The conversation went like this…
1 – Can I order a toasted bagel with smear?
2 – *The employee approaches the register.* Sure
1 – Can I get your everything bagel that has Italian seasoning. With your scallion cream cheese?
2 – Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. Do you want that toasted?
1 – Yes (a little stunned because I just said that, but that’s okay.) To confirm, that is the everything bagel that has the Italian seasoning, right?
2 – Oh, you want the Italiano
1 – That’s what you call it? I will remember that for next time!
Random other employee enters conversation:
3 – That’s why people usually order their bagels over there *points to other register in corner where another menu and bins of bagels are*
Slightly awkward moment of silence as I realize there is another register that I was apparently supposed to approach. Room is silent.
My immediate thoughts were scattered between customer experience and my error. I decided that ordering a bagel at a bagel place from one of their employees isn’t a big deal, so I didn’t believe I made an error. I grabbed my bagel and left for the first and last time.
What an awkward experience. The bagel was decent, but I will stick to getting bagels elsewhere so I don’t have to start my day with the layers of awkwardness this entire experience provided me.

As a New Yorker, these bagels are so yummy! The perfect cream cheese ratio and perfect bagel texture. The staff was also so friendly and the store was well kept! Wish the bagels were a bit larger because I wanted to eat more!!

The bagels here are wonderful. We’ve always had an awesome experience. But this last time we went in, the workers there were extremely rude for absolutely no reason. There’s no need to roll your eyes or completely ignore your customers when they say thank you.

Power was out when I got there, door was open, when I walked in they couldn’t be any friendlier. They gave me my bagels and I told them I will stop by to pay another day… How nice was that, to save me a trip…. BTW, the bagels were delicious…. thanks

After my third bite into nothing but whole wheat tortilla when I expected my $10 Boulderite Wrap to taste like something other than a whole wheat tortilla (ordered without red onions), I opened it up to answer the question, “Is there anything in here?” You be the judge. Big Daddy Bagels in Lafayette at lunch time on a weekday. Maybe this was a fluke, but I won’t risk $10 on it, there are plenty of other sandwich/wrap shops.
