The good thing is that the servers are very friendly and really want to do a good job. Also the chicken wings we ordered as an appetizer came out after all other food and we were told they take the longest which sounds kind of bizarre. Speaking of long wait times, the mozzarella sticks appetizers never came at all. I don’t think they take too kindly to to non-crab-based food orders. Anyway the food is quite good, when you can, get your hands on it. They were also out of a lot of things and it’s pretty surprising for such a small menu. Another thing is that there are a lot of fees…even for takeout you have to pay a fee. There might even be a birthday fee which is usually the opposite approach that restaurants take. All in all it was a good time.

I spent $115.86 and honestly feel completely ripped off by the service I received.
I ordered 5 pounds of crawfish and what they said was 1 pound of shrimp (15 shrimp). When I checked my order, I only received 2.5 pounds of crawfish — literally half of what I paid for. For a bill over a hundred dollars, getting shorted like that is completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the payment was split between two cards and I was somehow charged gratuity twice and taxed twice. Customers shouldn’t be penalized just because a payment is split between cards. That’s poor business practice.
So after spending $115.86, I ended up with missing food and extra charges. The order was handled carelessly and the billing was even worse.
Very disappointing experience. Terrible service, inaccurate orders, and unfair charges. I definitely won’t be coming back.

I ordered from this location today and kind of disappointed. I’ve been a customer since 2014 back when it was Bowling Crawfish. I called to place my order and I asked for the wing special with the BC House sauce on the side. Before I could finish my order, the cashier said I’m sorry we don’t sell the sauce on the side unless you’re ordering seafood. I said yes, I’m ordering the shrimp special as well. When I received my food, the side of sauce I was sold was the shorter solo cup that they usually put other condiments in and not the deep solo condiment cup. So I ordered an additional side of BC House sauce. I asked the cashier that took my order for a 2nd side of sauce that the cup I was given this time is shorter than what I’ve been given on several occasions. He told me that that’s the same condiment cup that’s always been used and it definitely was not. There’s plenty of pictures that shows this is not the same cup the sauce is served in. I was charged the 5% gratuity for both orders. No utensils or napkins were given. I feel that some of the staff give an attitude even when you’re not being confrontational. The food is always on point to me which is why I’m giving 3 stars.

What an amazing night! Went for my anniversary dinner and it was my first time there. Amazing service, super on top of refills aswell as frequent check ups so I never had to go find my server or wait. There’s a sink in the lobby which is super useful and well planned out! Asked my server what the house sauce tasted like and he immediately got me a sample without me even asking, which let me say was AMAZING. Went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we asked for and food came out quick with the crab crackers, a waste basket, bibs, and gloves. Asked for extra lemons with my crab at the beginning and he brought a whole bowl for me and my boyfriend. 10/10 review 100% worth the price. We both got the snowcrab bundle and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The shrimp wasn’t overcooked either!

I was visiting from Orlando and was craving seafood. The only thing the sauce had in it was spice. It was horrible to say the least. It had a burnt taste and the shrimp were definitely overcooked. It was definitely not worth the $54 price!

5/10 – only because the food was terrible.
Food not at all worth the price. Maybe I’m used to a different crab restaurant (Juicy), but this food was not good.
We ordered 3 and 1/2 dozen of steamed oysters and 2 cocktails and our total was $185 (12% gratuity is automatically added).
The house sauce was not good (tasted like just salt and mustard?), the steamed oysters were cold, and wait times were long.
I also didn’t like how the servers were the one applying the sauces to the food. That should be back of the house/kitchen’s job only.
On a positive note, the servers were friendly and the location is convenient. I will not be returning though.

After realizing many of the “boil” type places are takeout only, we settled on this establishment. It is in a strip mall setting so didn’t know what to expect. Well any concerns we had were quickly set aside when the waitress came to our table. She was very attentive, answered questions readily and was quick to bring the cocktails and apps. My wife got a boil and I got raw oysters and several fried appetizers as my meal. Everything was cooked well and very yummy. The attention to us by our server was top notch also. We’ll certainly be coming back!!

Devin was awesome! Very attentive, friendly, and professional! The music was good. The food was slamming! I enjoyed everything! This was my third time dining in and like always, I had a pleasant dining experience. I would recommend anytime. The sauce for the seafood boils always has that extra kick. I’ll be back again when I return from my vacation.

Used to Love This Place, But Not Anymore
The quality at The Big Crab has really fallen off. I recently ordered takeout and barely received any crab boil sauce — even though they give plenty when dining in. Yet, the price is the same.
Also, the shrimp used to be a nice size, but now they’re loading the combos with smaller shrimp. It feels like I’m paying more and getting less.
It’s frustrating that you have to dine in (and pay a pre-charged gratuity) just to get decent portions and sauce. At $35–$40+, it’s not worth the price anymore. Very disappointed. I won’t be returning unless things change.
