I went here and got the turkey wings. The lady at the register took so long to ringing the folks in front of me my food got cold. When I got home I had to heat it up. The Mac and Cheese didn’t taste very good and the cornbread was dry. The turkey wing actually was good after I reheated it. The search for a good soul food restaurant close to home continues.

bought cake from this place a few months back and forgot to post…The cake was old…I mean stale and hard. I called and spoke with the owner and told him about the cake, I even told him that I could bring the cake in and show him that we did not eat it…he jumps on defense and tells me that his wife bakes cakes daily and the cakes are always fresh…LIES…I said to him, “O’ you are one of those” and hung up. This is why a lot of black businesses fail and why black people do not patronize with black business…poor customer service. He never apologized and I have never gone back and I will never go back. Chic Fil La gave me cold fries, I called and told the manager, she immediately said how can I make this right??? I told her I will bring the fries back, I did and they gave me fresh fries and gift card for my trouble. There is definitely a difference when dealing with our own…I have been a business owner for over 20 years and when a customer calls with a complaint ..I do not jump on defense…because mistakes happen in business.

If you looking for some good soul food this is the place to be. I got the Turkey wing, greens and mac and cheese. The Turkey wing was so good and tender. The greens brought back old memories. I tried to take a picture of my meal but I ate it so fast. I did happen to get a picture of my wife’s plate. She got the catfish and yams. I highly recommend this spot.

I happened to be in the area and decided to stop here for lunch. Long story short, the food was horrible. I don’t like leaving negative reviews and I believe in giving everyone a chance, but I was highly disappointed. I ordered the lunch special for the day, which was Salisbury steak. I was offered the rice the was free, and had Mac and cheese and green beans. My gut told me from looking that the food wouldn’t be any good, but I still decided to try. The green beans were the best thing on the plate. The cornbread was extremely hard and stale, and had a funny taste. The gravy was so watery and unseasoned, and I’m not sure what the steak taste like but it wasn’t good either. I wish I had followed my first mind and left once I saw what the food looked like. Needless to say, I wasted my money and ended up going somewhere else.

First and last visit. Approx $30 for the measliest portions of food I have seen. Small to-go boxes and super small portions. Not worth the price at all. Rice and cornbread are cheap and easy and they gave a child sized portion of both. They use tiny scoop to prepare the plates. I wanted to leave but stayed and paid for my food because I ordered it. SO DISAPPOINTED, I should have just walked out and took my money someplace where I could eat and get full.

The owner told me himself that he made this plate. $29.00 for one oxtail with extra fat, and one bone. Old cornbread and dry Mac and cheese. And had the audacity to ask me why would I leave a bad review.

Me and my boyfriend went to try this place and it was not all that the oxtails were so small and not seasoned, the Mac n cheese wasn’t tasteful at all it taste like sour cream, the cabbage was alright just missing seasoning. The Lima beans ,rice ,and Turkey wings was good surprisingly. The red velvet was horrible too much chocolate and buttery taste in the icing. We felt rushed for our first time there

This review is based on customer service only being that I had not tasted the food. I went there today to order lunch. There was a customer in front of me ordering food. While they were fixing her plate, there was friendly conversation between the customer and the lady servicing her. However no one acknowledged my presence as I waited. After looking at the food, it did not look appealing or appetizing—and noticed the high prices—I chose to leave and get lunch from American Deli nearby instead. I am so glad I left and did not patronize this establishment because I read the bad reviews later when I got home. So I saved some bucks. Based on the bad reviews and actually seeing what the food looks like in person, I doubt I will return and try the food. Again had I been acknowledged upon entering the restaurant, I might have stayed and ordered.

Well this was my second time trying an again the food was horrible. I just had turkey wings which was 14 dollars for one wing an it was tough on the skin, not to mention it was cold and the rice was too. The cornbread wasn’t even a whole piece which was hard as a rock. Good soul food is so hard to find in Atlanta but this is definitely not it they should be closed down. I will never patronize this place again but hey maybe they need the money that bad cause the reviews shows nobody is satisfied eating here.
