Can’t beat the view – ambiance is perfectly beachy, food was FAST and tasty, servers and bartenders were friendly and quick. We enjoyed fish tacos, shrimp tacos, shrimp roll, fish and chips, and land & surf burger over two visits. Lemon crush was eh and the cherry lime crush tasted like a sweet-tart but my daughter loved it. To each her own!

Absolutely recommend stopping here. We’re from the Pittsburgh area, and stop every time we come down. The food was delicious, the drinks fantastic, and our server was amazing. She made our visit even better. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for.

Great private and spacious Restaurant. It’s in front of the beach , and has lots of parking spaces. There is a store on the first floor which sales beach chairs, umbrellas, toys etc…finally the place has 2 sitting areas; and private entrance to a secluded but gorgeous beach

We walked here from the campground across the street on a Sunday evening. We had heard varying reviews of them being dog friendly, so I went up and asked and was told that we could get food to go and sit in a “sandpit area”. So that’s what we did.

The sand put is a cute little area with a beach be that is much larger than it looks at first glance. It has tons of little private alcoves to sit in small parties and a large area with Adirondack chairs, tables to set your drinks, and fun outdoor games surrounded by Beach decor. They have cornhole, Jenga, connect 4 for, etc with colorful surfboards and chairs with market lights hanging overhead to decorate the area. Super cute!

Food was made quick and came out. Very tasty. We got the fish tacos and the french fries were incredible! Super tasty!

We really enjoyed ourselves and so did our pups as we sat and ate our tacos watching the sunset over the bridge with our feet in the sand.

Let me preface; that I’m aware i’m paying for the location. Elevated, right on state owned property, etc.
But that was THE weakest $20 Burger i’ve ever eaten in my life. Definitely never coming back. But great location! LOL

The Calamari is a lie. Do not be fooled.

$14.95 seems like a reasonable price for a calamari appetizer, until you realize that you only get around 10 pieces of calamari, so each piece costs about $1.50. There is practically no calamari in the appetizer. It is almost entirely a salad of shredded carrots, purple cabbage, red onions, green onions, and fried jalapenos, with some random calamari as a garnish.

At least one gets a great view of the ocean with dinner. It is the one redeeming quality of this place.

This place is amazing. If you’re driving here you do have to pay to park (5 if you’re in state, 10 for others). This place has a great atmosphere with two big decks to eat on, string lights, and amazing ocean views. The drinks are DELICIOUS I had a key lime crush. The corn dip was amazing, and the pork sliders were pretty good. Service was great! Our server was so quick and friendly.

Downstairs there’s lawn games and a little shady cove with hammocks and chairs.

We have been coming to Delaware Seashore State Park with our camper multiple times a season over the last seven years. Every time we say we’re going to try out the Big Chill. We made that a reality this weekend. Thankfully, there was no wait because it was off-season. Each table was full. The restaurant was busy for late October. It was extremely loud with the way the tables were set up. I could hear all of the conversations from the table behind us since it was bench seating and we were back to back. There was loud music playing. Overall, our food was less than desirable. We had the nacho appetizers for $15 and added pork for an extra nine dollars. That was probably the best thing we had out of everyone’s order. My son had the chicken thigh sandwich breaded. It had absolutely no flavor and we had to ask for barbecue sauce to make it edible. The lobster roll tasted like straight up butter. The hamburger was fully edible and delicious according to my 11-year-old. My husband had the land and sea hamburger and that was also good. Service was mediocre. We had to ask for silverware. We were also never given small plates when the appetizer came so we had to use napkins as plates. They were completely sold out of Dr. Pepper and root beer in their fountain. It can definitely be more than seven years until we go back. If you enjoy alcohol, I’m sure they had many choices for you. If you want a nice view, ask for one of the tables facing the ocean. There seem to be a memorial service going on at those tables and they had all occupied (at-least three). We had one of the tables closer to the parking lot. There are plenty of better food choices than this. Even the fries were soggy.

A nice option for al fresco dining atmosphere-wise but none of us liked our food. It was a party of 12. Everything was served cold and was tasteless.
