On top of that, the sauce we paid extra for wasn’t added at all, and the chicken wasn’t spicy like it should be.
I came here before and thought the food was great, but this time it was honestly disappointing. Please make sure the food quality and consistency are maintained — this experience was not acceptable.
Food Quality: my order didn’t come out correct and when they went to change my order, they brought me back my old fries, and unfortunately, these are just basic frozen fries cooked in oil. They were cold and smell like chicken oil. The milkshake was great.
The sauces aren’t anything special Not like other restaurants that have secret sauces.
The chicken itself is thin and was overcooked. I had different chicken sandwiches from KFC and Popeyes that were very thick compared to this Sandwich. For crying out loud this is a company through Shaq and he’s a big boy…hook a sandwich up. My cheese curds were small and not like the picture and were overcooked so there was no more cheese in my cheese curds.
Cleanliness: bathrooms are pretty clean and the floors in the restaurant are pretty decently cleaned. However, the tables, however, wasn’t wiped down so we had to wipe them down.
Employees: they were friendly and patient while ordering.
My last Big Chicken experience was in Gilbert AZ, and I was NOT impressed. It was newly opened and over staffed, with a lot of the staff standing around… I get it. I need to give new franchise locations a second chance. Here’s to second chances, or maybe all locations are not created equal.
Enough of my words. Check them out and let me know what you think.
Mac N Cheese: The Mac N Cheese was decent, and it was cool that they had crushed up Cheese It’s on top.
BC Fries: They were surprisingly good! Definitely a unique shape, they were like thinly sliced steak fries. Good with some of the chicken sauce.
The Original Big Chicken: This is your standard chicken sandwich. It tasted pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Crispy Chicken Grilled Cheese: Our favorite dish! We thought the bread was sourdough, but the menu says that it’s rustic Italian. Regardless, the bread and cheese really helped take the chicken sandwich to the next level!
I ordered The Hot Shot, some crinkle fries, and mac and cheese.
I wasn’t feeling a full-sized sandwich so I got the Hot Shot because it was smaller and had a little bit of heat. It was quite good! The natural sweetness of the toast paired well with the sauce and jalapeños. The sandwich had just enough chicken. Only bummer was that the cheese curds on it were old and tough, so I just skipped those.
I’m particular about mac and cheese and don’t tend to care for crumb toppings, but the cheese dust I am on board with. Also the mac and cheese itself is pretty good – thick and flavorful (aka actual aged cheese flavor) with the noodles fully coated and not overcooked.
Of the places I’ve tried in the area, this is the only one I’ll come back to. Next time I’ll try a milkshake.
