So wonderful to find another location for a fabulous drive-thru! We have loved the Oberland location for years and just learned of this one today. Nice indoor seating. Had the Huckleberry Bacon Blue Cheese burger and onion rings. Didn’t disappoint! Highly recommend! The classic 70’s music playing quietly was an added and unexpected bonus.

Just ate here for the first time and my husband and I loved it! The portions are generous, the burgers are hot and flavorful, the sides are crispy and they have lots of options. We also got a vegan chocolate peanut butter shake which was so yummy! Definitely had a Frosty vibe with the thickness and flavor. I have never had the chance to enjoy a dairy-free milkshake, as most places don’t offer them.
My husband is vegetarian, so the impossible burger and vegan chicken nuggets were also a draw for us.
I was also pleased by the service which can be hit or miss at a fast food joint! The cashier asked how our day was going even though he had a line.

Big bun is the best fast food burger in the valley. Their fries are shoestring and crispy, burgers are great quality and their staff is always very kind and helpful. They have tons of flavors of milkshakes and the freshest squeezed lemonade. We love Big Bun!

We have lived in Idaho since 2020 we moved here from Texas. I have to say this is the best burger joint I’ve been to since we’ve lived here. I ordered the #1 add bacon and the sweet potato waffle fries my wife ordered the #1 with French fries and wow the burgers were amazing, the fries were crispy out side and soft and delicious inside like a fry should be. So far best burgers we’ve had since we’ve lived in Idaho. No pictures cause it was too good to not start eating right away.

It’s great to have a restaurant with such great burgers, onion rings fries and shakes so close. The onion rings and fries are always nice and crispy and cooked to perfection. Their milkshakes are homemade and there’s plenty of flavors to choose from. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Especially the patio with the garage doors.

Big Bun Drive-In was fantastic! The food was incredibly delicious, served fast, and the staff was super friendly. We ordered on-site and enjoyed our meal in the patio seating area, which was perfect. We had cheese sticks, french fries, chicken tenders, and a double cheeseburger and every single bite was phenomenal. For drinks, we tried a chocolate shake, a Reese’s shake, and a strawberry lemonade, all of which were excellent! Highly recommend this spot! We’ll definitely be back!

Atmosphere: clean, open, extra seating and fun 50’s music. Employees don’t have the best look (lots of face and neck tattoos) but they seem efficient and friendly!
Menu: vegan section for the win! Veg Chicken and impossible burger
Taste: ordered different options to try. It’s greasy and salty for the onion rings, fries and grilled cheese. Toppings were a tad skimpy on the burger and I think they should add a bbq burger option for the impossible. It’s compatible to Burger Kings version so a different style would be welcomed. I’m uncertain if anything is crave-able here! It’s sad because I was so hoping to find a new spot for my family.

They fixed my order and it was fantastic as usual. Big bun usually rocks and the shake and food was some of the best ive had. Definitely a 1 off.
Edited 7/10. This was a doordash order, however I do not believe it was an issue with doordash. Let me preface I’ve never been to this big bun but Ive been to the overland one a bunch and never had issues. The driver was at my work in like 8 minutes so it wasn’t that.
I got 3 things on Sunday 6/22. a chocolate Oreo milkshake, a guac burger, and chicken strips.
The chicken strips were hard as a rock and hot, so definitely heat warmered to death or something, I don’t know. I couldn’t even bite into it, so those went into the trash.
The burger was ok, but didn’t have any toppings. It did have good guac, but really nothing else but that and lettuce. It was super, super dry.
The milkshake was an atrocity, filled with so much chocolate syrup at the bottom I actually wondered if the person who made it was quitting that Day. actually like 1/4 inch of chocolate syrup. couldnt even taste the rest of the milkshake, just Hershey’s flavor. It ruined the whole thing 🙁

There was chocolate syrup smeared all over the lid too. It was obvious someone dumped way, way too much in it. That should never have gone out like that. I like chocolate, but geez.

The food is so good, service is fast and the atmosphere is awesome. Don’t forget to get the Boston milkshake, ( milkshake with a sundae on top). Cheese sticks and jalapeno poppers are so good. Spicy chicken sandwich has a kick, finger steaks are so tender. Tater tots extra crispy. So worth the trip. Thumbs up.
