Food was a no go it smells good outside but it became deceiving.
To each there own on taste and choice.

Order of jalapeno bombers (4)
Drink and side of potato salad
$45 and some change

Brisket was dry Does NOT taste smoked more like oven cooked. The flavor is very peppery
RIBS where dry and thin over sauced and burnt sauce must if been over carmalized
Chicken look gorgeous but the red inside is of setting
Potato salad is good taste like Walmart Kroger brand
Beans are not BBQ they need flavor tho
Jalapeno bombers where good and tame
And 1 slice of bread for a 3 meat order ?
Atmosphere is quite with the old school feel a lil depressing but it’s Sweetwater

Good BBQ brisket sandwich. I can’t say great but it was good. The brisket did have a nice Mesquite Smoked flavor which I enjoy. Brisket was tender as well. Price was very reasonable for good BBQ. Generous portion size. Nice laid back atmosphere. Very friendly service.

The barbecue is out of this world. Great place to park your semi tractor trailer and enjoy some home cooked barbecue. It’s worth the trouble of getting off the interstate boys, great place to get fuel across the street and fuel your belly.

GREAT Spot!! Wow, we were so impressed in every way with this BBQ spot. Stopped on a road trip craving Texas BBQ and had no idea this place has won TONS of awards for great BBQ. Not only that but the decor was really special – real animal hide chairs & tables, blankets and rawhide decor, very upscale roadhouse BBQ, and the bathrooms were really nice and super clean. Yummy BBQ, super nice service – can’t say enough good things. Stop here! 🙂

Great place! First timers, Mr. Big Boy up at the front seemed upset at first, but then he shook that off and was funny and helpful. We were there at 4:00 pm and the place looked closed but then the OPEN sign turned on and we parked immediately. I’m so glad we did not drive away, and the only thing that held us waiting at the parking lot was that we were looking for a place to eat on maps, lol. We will definitely come again on our next work trip out here! Thank you Big Boy!

Driving through a land of rattlesnakes and wind turbines and low and behold a Texas monthly top 50 barbeque restaurant. Had a great time at this unassuming restaurant. Luckily the owner is a dog lover so we got to bring in the family pet instead of having to eat lunch in the car. I got the brisket sandwich, very moist and tender and loved the sauce. The Mrs. got the “my ribs”. They were excellent, because of course I had to tried them. At the end of the meal had a great conversation with the owner and pit master. We talked about the direct heat method of his pits and how it different from most pits in Texas. Whatever the difference, the brisket was delicious. All in all, this was a very nice surprise lunch. Good luck in the upcoming Texas monthly update to their top 50 list!

I’m a truck driver, and I struggle to find something good to eat with truck parking. Luckily, I found this place. There is parking across the street. I walked into this mom-and-pop restaurant to be greeted by rustic decor. I ordered the lunch special: sliced brisket sandwich with one side. I ordered potato salad. My meal came with a fountain drink. The brisket was perfectly smoked; it was full of flavor and so tender. There were only 4 sides to choose from: coleslaw, potato salad, green beans, or a bag of chips. The sides may be limited, but the love for the craft of smoking the BBQ shows big time in flavor. I will return to enjoy more of the menu.

We stopped at Big Boys while passing through Sweetwater and thought it was great! The brisket was really good and the ribs were fantastic! Service was quick and friendly on a quiet Monday afternoon. The interior of the restaurant is surprisingly nice considering the very plane, unassuming exterior. We would absolutely stop here again.

Full of flavor!!! I had the 2 meat plate with Beef brisket & smoked turkey… potato salad & coleslaw & cornbread…. everything was fresh & the meat was tender almost like butter…. not over seasoned nor under & slight smoke flavor… meat wasn’t hard around the edges like some other places… I think the portions are really good for the price, I only paid $10 & some change… the cornbread was also excellent & the sugar didn’t overpower the taste! In fact I didn’t need any butter to go on it since the bread was moist… also the house BBQ sauce perfect not too sugary at all… the restaurant was spotless & when u enter the skulls & skins kinda startled me at first tho… lol… I do like the atmosphere, it’s very cozy & reminds me of the wild Wild West for sure… I have been traveling the country for a long time & I am putting this spot as my #2 favorite of all time!!! *to the owners, please don’t change a thing u are the doing & great job! (Maybe a parking area for the 18 wheelers) 12/12/18

Great food. We ordered a sliced Brisket sandwich (not pictured) and ribs. Traditional Texas Style BBQ which a wonderful flavor and unique atmosphere. Previous Texas Monthly BBQ joint and it lived up to the prestigious distinction.
