You know the saying, “You can’t go back home.” Well, at Tuckey’s Big Boy, I’m happy to say that maybe you can — because some things never change.
Owned by Joseph Tuckey, retired Fire Chief of Tecumseh, Michigan, and his wife Sherri, this place truly feels like the heart of the community. The moment you walk in, you can feel that hometown pride and warmth. It’s not just a restaurant — it’s a homey, welcoming place where tradition, comfort, and great food still matter.
The service was outstanding from start to finish. Alexis and Evan, who took care of us, were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. Kat and Brittani also played a part in making the experience seamless and enjoyable. You can tell the team works together like family, and that kind of atmosphere can’t be faked.
The food was exactly what you hope for when you walk into a classic Big Boy — fresh, satisfying, and full of that familiar comfort that brings back memories. In a world that’s constantly changing, it’s refreshing to find a place where quality service and genuine hospitality still come first.
They say you can’t go back home — but at Tuckey’s Big Boy, some things never change… and that’s a very good thing.
Highly recommend stopping in and experiencing it for yourself. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Some of the best tortilla soup I’ve ever had! This Big Boy is old school; it brings you back to the glory days of Big Boy. I’ve never had a bad meal here. I like all the fire fighting memorabilia on the walls to.

It has become a tradition for my family to stop for dinner at this Big Boy location after attending NASCAR races in Michigan. Although it has been several years since we have been up for a race, our dining experience was just as good as always this past weekend. The food was excellent! Our server was Evan. He was very kind and respectful, going above and beyond to serve us. We will certainly continue to return anytime we go to a race.

Seen a big boy had to try it out. Not bad at all. Was fun watching a 15yr old eat a super big boy (4 hamburgers). Great deal for buffet. $5.99 all u can eat with purchase of something off the menu.

This was our first time and we were quite impressed overall! The food was delicious (the pretzel bites were wonderful!), the atmosphere was neat, and, even though the restaurant was busy, the service was great! We will be going back!
Update: We have been back several.times and the food is always good and the service top notch! We will continue to return!

Very upset. We love this place and go every week with our kids. Today we went and my 3 year old daughter was so excited to get her “noodles with sauce on top” she told me all day. After our nice waitress took our order another waitress came by and my daughter said, “Guess what! I’m getting noodles with sauce and my brother is getting pancakes!” The woman responded “ I don’t care! I’m not your waitress.” We were stunned. Even my 3 and 5 year old didn’t understand why she would be so rude. To a 3 year old!!! My poor girl turned red. My husband and I were so angry the rest of the time there. We wish we said something and will when we see her again.

It would be nice if your employees did not wear sweatpants and slippers like they just got out of the hospital. And not run your vacuum cleaner under my table while I am eating so you can close.
