Only good thing about this visit was the kitchen manager made it right when i received my food with cross food contamination. The waitress was worthless, and took us like 45 minutes to even get our food after arriving. Restaurant was also insanely filthy, could see black soot/mold whatever it was around the vents.

The biggest thing I like about Big Boy is consistency. They offer many different menu items and options. Big Boy also offers a soup and salad bar. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful.

This seems like not your typical Big Boy restaurant. It carries the name, menu, etc, but is nowhere near the same as others. Staff was polite and did their jobs very well. We ordered the breakfast buffet, since we were running errands for the day. Food was cold and basically not worth eating. At 20 dollars per person, this make McDonalds gourmet for half the price. Looking the other poor reviews, it seems that this is not a staffing issue. I this management or especially, ownership needs to “raise the bar” at least off the floor on this. Maybe , make an effort and watch another successful Big Boy in the area and take notes.

Food was poor and took forever to get it. Then when we got it nothing was right. Dressing missing on the rueban i ordered my wife only got what was equal to half a sandwich and the kids couldn’t finish eating their food. Plus the portions were small compared to the price. I will not be going back

It was a snow day. Schools closed.
The waitress was friendly and came fairly promptly, as we were one of 6 customers at the time. I ordered an egg white veggie omelette which was a problem for the cook, who loudly scolded the waitress for getting the order wrong. The manager then got involved because the cook went in to the office to complain and wanted to make sure that we were going to be charged more. ( the menu said $.99 but he wanted the waitress to charge more). He appeared to not know how to make a veggie omelette .
My omelette came out yellow, rubbery and with egg whites inside – with egg shells. After a couple of crunchy, rubbery bites , I also noticed that the onions in my hash browns were raw, cup up , onions on top of my hash browns.
We called over the waitress, who was still complaining to the manager that she didn’t make a mistake in our order, to ask her to please take my egg shells, rubbery food, and so not to trouble the cook more, just give me 2 eggs over easy and some hash browns.
About 10 minutes later, the cook (spending several minutes sitting in the office), cooked my eggs and I was brought over a plate with only 2 eggs, (which were done properly and no egg shells). I had already gotten The hot cakes, which were done correctly.
After about 10 more minutes, (watching the cook in the office, I wondered if I was ever going to get my hash browns), b
finally the cook went back in to the kitchen and the waitress brought over my plate, explaining that the onions were now cooked. My husband had far passed eating his food and had I waited for the hash browns to eat my eggs, they would have been cold.
In the end, the waitress brought us a bill charging for the veggie omelet that I didn’t eat and extra for the egg whites, that I also didn’t eat. We were happy to just get out of there , so we paid the extra money and left. $32 for this breakfast.
I would have thought the manager would have been more helpful, apologized and or comped my meal. Not!!
This is Not a place I would recommend. Too bad, because I grew up in Michigan (although I now live in Florida) and was excited about trying Big Boy again from my past. Rating this place a 2 in generous.

First off, they falsely advertise a all you can eat fish dinner and was told no at the door. 5 o’clock dinner time and they were out of onion rings and buns. Just a huge letdown

Not sure what happened during quarantine, but their food tastes way better now.
4/22/23 Edit: adding picture of country fried steak and eggs. They were outstanding. When walking into the near empty restaurant I was worried the food was starting to fail like it was pre-quarantine, but it was great. Quick service, friendly staff.

Great service by Amanda! The bbq burger was good and she shakes were great. The shrimp was very tasty. I would pick that over the chicken wrap.
