I’ve been here several times and it is usually very good and not too crowded. The most recent time I took my father-in-law and family out for his birthday. We were promptly seated and had our orders taken. We got chicken satay, gyoza, beef salad, pad thai, red curry and two sides of rice.
Overall this is a good restaurant and we visit semi-regularly. I wouldnt say it is perfect though. Downsides for me: limited lunch menu (with smallish portions), hours change pretty regularly (they have a break between dinner and lunch, see picture of sign below), they stopped serving alcohol and most egregious: they don’t have Coke Zero. But seriously, unlike most places they often dont ask you what spice level you want on a dish. My request for ‘Thai Hot’ resulted in a moderately spiced dish that required extra doses of chili flakes, which is sad. Prices are on the higher end for a Thai restaurant with a lot of add on fees (brown rice is a $2.00 upcharge, etc).
Those small complaints aside, the food is good and the service is mostly very good. The restaurant is usually quiet and not super crowded. If you’re in the mood for Thai I would definitely check them out!

This is an unassuming Thai restaurant next to nothing but noodles in Huntsville. Every time we go there the food is outstanding. The sauces on the dishes have a depth of flavor that are unlike any Asian restaurant I’ve visited before. Our server was exceptional- they didn’t have what I originally ordered and she came back and let me know in a timely manner and I chose a different entree I chose the garlic chicken my husband chose something else but I don’t remember the name it was a spicy dish. Both entrees came with a side salad with and a Ginger Asian dressing which is delicious and very flavorful and a fried banana, which kind of tastes like a warm banana pudding and is oddly delicious. We also ordered two appetizers. The appetizers were pork fried egg rolls and fried rangoons. They were the highlight of the meal the fried rangoons are the best rangoons I have ever tasted and are one of my favorite things when I visit this restaurant. we’d never had the fried egg rolls but they were just as exceptional. perfect perfect experience. It’s not a fancy place but it’s quiet and cozy and the service is impeccable as well as the food. So if you’re looking for an exceptional Asian restaurant that is not a Chinese buffet, try this place out it is a bit pricey but not any pricier than anything else and for the quality of food that you get it’s unbeatable.

First time here with friends, four of us total. We like to try new places and find something other than chains when we eat out. Food was good, nothing really stood out but nothing was bad. The real disappointment was the service. We placed our orders. Got our appetizer first and it came out fine and was good. Then, only my entree came out. I sat there a couple minutes waiting for the others to come out and after about 3 or 4 minutes we got our servers attention, who never came over to check once my food came out, and asked about the other entrees. Then one more plate came out, and another 3 or 4 minutes passed by and we tried to get our servers attention again and asked if the other two plates were coming out. Finally, after probably ten minutes total, everyone had their entrees. The waitress never even seemed concerned or even offered to explain what went wrong. Sorry to say but this is a “once and done” visit.

The restaurant was very clean and the waitress was very prompt with our menus and drinks and allow us time to relax and look over the menu. The food was amazing. We first had the crab ragoon and then for our main dishes, we had the chicken fried rice and fried lemon chicken. The food was delicious and we will definitely be visiting again.

Yummy!! The food and portions are great. The restaurant is located in a small mall with other food options, so far I like this one best. I odered the Big Bowl Drunken Noodles, they are supposed to be spicy, i would say that the spices used is not that strong. The banana egg roll was a really tasty treat. The food was liked by all of our family, this is a must revisit.

This was our first time eating at Big Bowl Thai Cuisine and we were pleasantly surprised! Both the food and service were both great!
The lunch menu includes the house coconut soup and salad. The lunch box was nice because it came with your choice of protein, California roll and rice. The Pad Thai Chicken was also good. Highly recommend trying the Thai iced tea!
Conveniently located off University Drive near MidCity, there’s plenty of parking in the lot outside. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. It also appears that they do a lot of take out orders which they seem to be very efficient at.
The service was both friendly and fast. I was impressed how fast our food came out after we ordered. We will definitely be back!

Big Bowl Thai was excellent! We ordered the Sumai appetizer, and it was delicious. We both ordered Pad Thai for our entree, no surprise there, but it was also fantastic. I called in our order, and it was ready within 15 minutes. The service was excellent, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I LOVE Big Bowl! This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Huntsville. No matter what you order, you won’t go wrong! Their portions are generous and their meals are affordable. And their Thai Tea is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for lunch!

Good food and service. Coconut soup is really good. The peanut sauce was better than I expected and went really well with the chicken Satay. Thai tea was good as well. The Pad Thai wasn’t my favorite, but it was still good. I liked the spring rolls and chicken panang curry. The salad had a yummy dressing. The California roll wasn’t great.
