We visited Big Bowl, Edina to sarisfy our craving for spicy thai food around the twin cities. This restaurant was advertised as Thai/ Chinese fusion cuisine but turned out be an americanized quick service model with dine in and service. Tad bitbon the expensive side but the portions or ok. Food tasted ok, with a couple of dishes heavy on MSG. Nonethe less food was fresh and hot as we like it. Service was the best part and Hanna who served us was very patient in taking our orders and answering all our questions on diet specifications and allergies.
It was an ok experience overall and not good value for the bill we paid.

Ordered the Gluten-Free Orange Chicken. Extremely disappointed. Not only did it not look like the picture, there was also no flavor whatsoever, let alone flavor of any orange or citrus. It also lacked any oranges in the dish. It was also very soupy. The fried rice was also overly greasy. Attempted to add soy sauce and while that made it edible it was still disappointing. Definitely will not be ordering this again and unsure if I will order from this restaurant again. Interestingly, I almost ordered multiple dishes but I decided to try just one to see how that went and I’m glad that I did not waste more than the 25.00 that I did.

We ordered vegetarian pot stickers and Kung Pao Tofu. It was delicious! They have many vegan and vegetarian options which most other Chinese and Thai places lack in twin cities.

Wow! what a great spot to enjoy delicious food. Great atmosphere, and service. I can’t wait to try a few more dishes. I highly recommend trying them out. Hey and the cocktails aren’t bad either. Large portions, easy to share!

Ordered take out beef and broccoli and orange chicken for lunch. Some of the worst chinese food I’ve ever had. Flavor of beef/sauce was off and tons of mushrooms and not much beef. Orange chicken was ok, but too much citrus. I’m a sauce guy and there was way too much on each entree. Not to mention the total for both orders came to $46! I know we’re in Edina, but damn… atleast it could’ve been good
