Mr. Waltz should take a hike!!! Obviously he has no idea what good cooking is, or what it is like to work a hot grill. I used to run the kitchen at a Texas Roadhouse, and I understand how picky people can be about clean service.
The Big Boss uses a towel to wipe sweat, and heat safety gloves to protect his hands from the intense flames that sear the flavors into his food, which is deliciously cooked to perfection.
Every year I visit my mother from out of town, I stand by to watch this hard working master at work. He has never used anything less than gloves and tongs to serve the masses that all gather in line to enjoy.
The price is more than fare for the quantity and the quality of everything he sells. I can’t say enough about the ribs which my whole family loves. The rub is the perfect balance of sweet with a perfectly caramelized finish. I have hade many others that were too saucy, too fatty, and lacked the attention to detail you will find here!
Thanks for always working hard to serve up a great treat for the crowd!! I will always look forward to my next visit to town.
Big Boss BBQ is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic, mouthwatering barbecue. On State Rd 15, corner of Winona and Buffalo in Warsaw IN, this stand brings the perfect blend of smoky aromas, juicy meats, and bold flavors that keep you coming back for more.
The menu is simple but hits all the right notes—whether it’s the tender ribs, perfectly charred brisket, or their signature grilled chicken, every bite bursts with flavor. The homemade sauces are the icing on the cake, offering the ideal mix of tangy, sweet, and spicy.
The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with the grill sizzling and the Pork Commander (Steve Sands) himself serving up plates with a friendly smile. It’s clear this BBQ is made with passion and pride, and you can taste the love in every bite.
If you’re in the area on a Saturday, don’t miss out on this hidden gem. Big Boss BBQ turns an ordinary corner into the best BBQ spot in town. From farm to fork, squeal to meal, this family farm has been in business for 178 years.
Pork tip: Get there early—this BBQ is so good, it sells out fast!
