Big Billy’s Burger Joint is locally owned and operated by Greg and Ellen Leonard, and their two boys. Greg’s job transferred him to Charleston in 2013, and the family has been loving every minute of living in the Lowcountry ever since! The family is hard at work at the restaurant every day and is passionate about this Charleston staple. Our meat is ground in-house daily so we can regulate the process and ensure quality. We know this makes a huge difference in the flavor of the meat, and we want only the best for ourselves and our Big Billy’s family. Our beef is Certified Angus Beef®, and our alternative meats are all natural, free-range, grass-fed, and 100% antibiotic and hormone free.

The food was really good here! It was our first time in town, and this place stood out as I wanted a sandwich. I ordered the salmon sandwich with fried pickles. It was sooo good! My son got the classic cheeseburger but with their meat of the day, so it had a wild boar patty. It was very flavorful and juicy he loved it! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for something different yet delicious!

Every burger is so good. You can also build your own or add just about anything to any burger on the menu. Waiters and waitresses are always excellent. They provide great service and seem to enjoy their job which is a good thing. The setting is nice and there are plenty of TV if you are trying to watch something. Went on my birthday, they don’t sing, that’s a great thing but they do provide a birthday shake!!! Also a great thing. If you haven’t been I strongly recommend you do

I was greeted warmly. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Staff checked on my table often which was nice. Food was delicious..had the salmon burger with extra tomatoes instead of bacon. Had the avocado BLT, it was super delicious! The beef was made exactly how I wanted(med. rare) you can really taste the quality, fries were crispy and seasoned. Definitely exceeded my expectations for sure!

Great little burger joint. They have a good selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, sides and other items. They also have a good selection of kids menu items. Make sure to try their house ketchup (that’s what I’m calling it). The food was fresh and service was great!

Stopped in for overnight in Charleston and wanted a burger and fries so I walked over here from my hotel and boy was I impressed when I got back to my room. I built my own burger with smoked Gouda and caramelized onions and I loved it. The patty was seasoned well and so were the fries. I also ordered a beef hotdog and tater tots which I enjoyed both. I can’t wait until my next trip so I can try the other meats they have to offer. I would recommend you give Big Billy’s a try.

We went Nov 2021. Really cool vibes of a place, love the decor everywhere, always something interesting to look at. Our group of 5 all really enjoyed their meals and drinks. The waitress was super personable and funny, gave great advice of which items to order and her favorites. Fries were super good as was the fried pickles. Devoured them! They even had a neat little “take a book, leave a book” corner. Great burgers and sandwiches!

Our milk shakes were warm and the food was abysmal at best. There’s better bars to get food from. The onion rings were like pencil shavings and the pork sandwich was not good at all. Save your money and eat French fries off the ground on the boardwalk. The server was cool though.
