Big Billy’s Burger Joint is locally owned and operated by Greg and Ellen Leonard, and their two boys. Greg’s job transferred him to Charleston in 2013, and the family has been loving every minute of living in the Lowcountry ever since! The family is hard at work at the restaurant every day and is passionate about this Charleston staple. Our meat is ground in-house daily so we can regulate the process and ensure quality. We know this makes a huge difference in the flavor of the meat, and we want only the best for ourselves and our Big Billy’s family. Our beef is Certified Angus Beef®, and our alternative meats are all natural, free-range, grass-fed, and 100% antibiotic and hormone free.

Great food, even better service. The host was very welcoming and kept our drinks full. Food came out correct and hot, not room temperature. Close enough to lots of shopping so you can get a quick bite and continue walking around. Traffic in the area can be a menace so choose the right time. Our booth was clean, as was the floor around it. Bathrooms were dirty however. Water on the floor down the hallway as well. Other then that this place was amazing. (They do offer gluten free buns as well)

Good burgers and a fantastic accompaniments. The ketchup, mustard, horseradish sauce, and most of the dressings are house made. So are the pickles. Talked with the owner, very smart and excellent food taste. Highly recommend.

YUM! I wish we took photos but they wouldn’t do it justice. Everything was amazing! From the warm pretzels and wings for our app to the HOMEMADE side sauces and when I tell you that Reuben is to die for? Yes maaaaaam! My husband got the black and blue burger was super happy as well. Yummy fries and incredible service to top it all off! This place is a hidden gem. Ask for Laura as your server because she went above and beyond and was always there to make sure we were good to go. Great prices as well!

Jay was my server. He was amazing. He suggested the breakfast burger with the onion rings. The onion rings were nice crispy and hot and then they were accompanied by big Billy sauce, which is amazing pairing with the onion rings. The burger was cooked to temperature and I actually don’t do dairy and they could take the cheese off which I really appreciated. Food came out so quick and hot and they have a great selection of milkshakes and drinks. Unfortunately, I opted for water because I’m trying to cut! Jay was a great server. Service was excellent. I won’t need to bring my wife next time I come.

The food was amazing! The burgers were super fresh and the taste was just amazing! The nachos were very tasty and they give you a LOT! The fries were okay! I wish they were a bit more crispier but they are on the thicker side. The service was really good! They were super fast and super helpful when we asked questions. The ambiance was super chill. We went and it was kinda busy but it was not overwhelming at all.

The burgers were great (hugh) and cooked to order ( rare, medium, well done). The service was very good. Our watress was VERY polite. It got pretty busy as the afternoon wore on. What is unique are the available wild animal burgers, depending on the day of the week. Wild boar, alligator, venison, and other unique burgers. Yummy!

Had a nice visit. I got the heart stopper thinking it was going to be packed with flavor and it just wasn’t. The burger was cooked perfectly…I just didn’t taste any seasoning. Same with the bbq…cooked perfectly…just no flavor :/ their tots were spot on delicious, and their fries were tasty too! Their sweet tea was goooood! Which is a bonus to me 🙂 It’ll be nice to come back and try something else. Great Service!
