Went to Bills for the first time today with my family. We have 7 children so 9 total and they were able to accommodate us well. The waitress Laura was very nice and patient. It took everyone awhile to decide what to eat and she was so patient. Other people also kept checking on us to make sure if we needed refills or food. The other customers were so friendly as well. Now the food, that’s why we are here right lol, it was amazing. I had a calzone and the marinara sauce was the best I’ve tasted. Their garlic knotts are a must. My kids had pizza and tore it up. The older boys tried a hero, chicken marinara, and chicken parm. Chicken scampi for my partner and everyone loved it. I highly recommend and will be back again!!!

Visited recently with my wife and all 7 kids and the experience was nothing shy of amazing! Such a historic name paired with extremely high quality food. The sauce was made with love the garlic knots cooked to perfection and all the nostalgic memorabilia tied it all together perfectly. Our server Laura did a really good job giving us the run down on why this place sits in the hearts of so many people. Highly recommend 10/10

First time at Big Bill’s New York Pizza, large combo with the pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, mushrooms, onion and cheese. The sauce has really nice zip id spicy flavors. Crispy thin crust. There is quite if but if oik, but it’s probably from the meats. Garlic knots with marinara sauce were filling, but I needed to add more salt to enjoy them. I will return the pizza is fabulous!

Not too bad some of the crispiest crust I’ve ever had on a pizza. very straightforward service. I can see why this place has been around for generations. I wish they had some sort of lunch special. Not super flavorful. But decent.

I was so excited to try this place. But, it was the worst pizza I’ve had in a long time! They claim this is NY pizza, it’s not! There was too much cheese causing the crust to get soggy. The sauce had no flavor and the dough was dried out. The waitress offered to make have new pizza brought out. I asked how long the pizza was sitting. The waitress said it was fresh. So, then bringing out new slices would be no different. The manager never bothered to come talk to us. Very disappointing.

I rate “NY Pizza” places on if they would remain in business in NY, NJ, or CT, and I’m happy to say this place *might* (which is pretty good for Colorado). Definitely better than your average $1 slice in Manhattan, but no where near as good as the best options in the NY metro area. I would call this “adequate pizza.” A bit heavy on the grease for my taste, and overall flavor is lacking. Certainly worth a stop if you’re in the area and are from the east coast and jonesing for some pizza, but I wouldn’t make a trip from far away.

I recently dined at Big Bill’s New York Pizza, and while I had high expectations based on the reviews, my experience was somewhat underwhelming. There were definitely some positives, but a few key issues kept this from being a great meal.
Starting with the garlic balls, they were noticeably undercooked, leaving the inside doughy and unpleasant. It might help if they were brought to room temperature before baking to ensure they cook evenly. The pizza itself had some highs and lows—the sauce was actually quite good, with a nice balance of flavor. However, the cheese was a big disappointment. Instead of having that classic stretchy, melty texture, it just broke apart, which made it feel like a lower-quality ingredient than I expected.
The crust was okay—not bad, but it lacked flavor and didn’t stand out. Another major issue was the pineapple on the pizza, which was extremely hard. Fresh pineapple can be great on pizza when done right, but this was tough and difficult to chew, which took away from the overall experience.
On a more positive note, the salad was a generous portion, which I appreciated. However, the balsamic dressing wasn’t blended well, so the oil and vinegar kept separating, making it inconsistent with each bite. One of the most surprising letdowns was the drinking water—it had a really unpleasant taste. It might be worth considering a water filtration system to improve this.
Overall, I left feeling that the quality of ingredients didn’t quite match the hype from the reviews I had read beforehand. The place has potential, and I can see why it’s popular, but I think some upgrades to the ingredients and attention to detail could really improve the dining experience. I wouldn’t completely rule out returning, but I’d hope for some improvements before I do.

I love this place! They have great pizza for out west… almost close to back east but, you know, nothing is like east coast pizza.
That being said the pizza is delicious and we bring the kids here frequently. Staff is great, food is great, and the atmosphere it’s also great! Over 3 dozens times here and I’m always pleased.
They could add some seating back but then again, they need the waiting space

Great food. Definitely tastes like home! So glad we found this place! We have been looking for awhile for good NY style pizza and knots. Everything was perfect. Portion size was bigger than we thought. Plenty of toppings. Will definitely be back.

Great NY pizza, I’ve been visiting Big Bill’s for 15 years and it never disappoints, I’ve never seen it rated on Westword but it should be, I don’t live nearby but if I’m in the area I will stop by for a few slices
