Ordered the French Dip and a Hot Honey Chicken Pizza. After ordering they called to let me know they were out of pizza shells so I ordered the Big Lex instead. Both Sandwiches were very good but I’m really not a fan of the Dutch crunch bread. Way too dry for my personal taste but the roast beef and provolone in that French dip were 10/10 so soft and tender. Hoping to come back and try the pizza one day soon.

Newfound gem In North County. This Florissant local deli is phenomenal. Connected to the Helfner’s bakery, you can have savory and sweet. Come and try what Big Belly Deli has to offer!

Visited for the 1st time today and we will surely be back! The sandwiches and soup were amazing and the service was great! I didn’t catch the guys name but he had wavy longish hair. He was super sweet and made the experience even better! Highly recommend!

Ordered the Three Amigos & Coleslaw. That bread they use for the sandwiches is insane. I love it. It really holds all the delicious flavors together. And that coleslaw. Creamy as hell. So good. I’ll be telling everyone to come here.

Big Belly sandwich combo and my wife had the French Dip. Super solid sandwiches. Mac salad is great, but a little different than what is normally served at similar places. Loved the desserts and we even grabbed some more desserts as their space is connected to Helfer’s Bakery. Food portions are adequate for the price. Combo was $21 with a husky sandwich, side, dessert and drink. (Pic is 1/2 of the Big Belly)

I want to emphasize that I understand this is a small business, not a large corporation.
Overall, my experience was 70% positive and 30% negative. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed it was very clean and well-kept. I was greeted promptly by the person at the counter, who offered me a detailed menu and made suggestions since it was my first time visiting. The food came out fast and I was greeted as I left. Great first impression. The restaurant gives a nostalgic feel as well.
Onto the concerns. I feel that the toppings on my sandwich were quite sparse, especially considering it was an $11 (small) sandwich and I had to pay extra for two additional toppings. The most disappointing part was discovering that the sandwiches are automatically toasted, which I dislike. I prefer my cheese cold and my deli meat even colder. I realized this after leaving the restaurant. It may have been due to my lack of attention to the details while reading the menu, but I also wasn’t asked whether I wanted my sandwich toasted or not. I could have gone back to request a correction, but I understand how food waste can impact small businesses, so I chose to take the loss and move on with my day.
I’ve heard nothing but great things about this place, and would recommend trying it out. If you’re apart of the very small percentage that don’t like toasted sandwiches, let them know.

Big Belly Deli is one of the best sandwiches that you will have the pleasure of eating. They take great care of their customers and will remember you when you come back. I choose to build my own sandwich every time. They have many options to choose from which makes a delicious meal, but the bread that the use is the best in class. They are connected to the beautifully delicious bakery, Helfer’s, next door which makes for some of the most delicious bread and baked treats to go along with their amazing sandwiches. Grab a draft beer to go with your delicious meal. There is plenty of seating upstairs. The staff will take your order and bring your food to your table. The most delicious sandwiches that I have found paired with small batch craft chips and boutique soda, Big Belly Deli is the place to eat. They are fast, friendly, clean and courteous. Do not miss this.

Well the big guy at the register was kind of dismissive. I almost turned back around-to leave but it was so busy i assumed this was one of the best places in Florissant to eat. And i was very hungry because i missed breakfast that day. Different strokes for different folks i guess. I spent $90 on 3 meals and a whole gooey butter cake pie.
The sandwiches we got were 2 southwestern type sandwiches and also a adult grill cheese. No flavor at all, they taste like mayo and the grill cheese tastes of only onions, although it had tomatoes, cheese and onions. It only taste of onions smh i received a small discount on the gooey butter cake pie.
I assume because it was over cooked. Why do I assume? Because it was hard as a rock, except for the very middle of the pie. The Cashier or owner not really sure his position, said it came from Helfers Bakery next door.
Also, No big deal but they forgot to put my cookies that came with the meal in the bag so after getting home , I had to put my clothes on and go back up there to get the cookies I paid for. After spending $90 for lunch i wanted every single thing i paid for. Absolutely. When i arrived he instantly apologized which was the right thing to do and he was very genuine about apologizing.
As a customer, for a lunch sandwich that is $20+ after tax, there should be more of a dedication in the foods flavor. I have to say Potbelly is wayyyyyyy better in flavor and price. This place is rich for my blood and has no taste jst $20 of mess thrown in a box. Smh I will not be returning.
