Decided to stop here on a recent visit to UAB hospital’s Kirklin Clinic. The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly. Our food was delicious and the coffee was superb. I work in Oxford, so I am used to the one at home. This one is a nice size space that can accommodate a crowd. The building itself is fairly new. Check them out if you are in town. Their breakfast is hard to beat.

I finally had a chance to try this new location in Vestavia Hills. It is very nice since it is brand new restaurant. Someone had mentioned in another review it was a little chilly and while it was cooler because it is a new A/C system a light jacket would suffice. I thought the temperature was fine. There is plenty of space and you can sit at the bar if you choose. There is seating outside but this is reserved for the weekend overflow and its very limited. Dogs are allowed outside though. However, if you prefer outside seating the 280 location is the better choice for you and your furry companions. It is the same menu and prices. There is plenty of parking and two entrances with one allowing you into the parking lot but not out of it the same way.

I am working through the menu. The food is always wonderful. And then I had an omelette with their tomato gravy. Oh my, goodness. Manager Mike is diligent in the pursuit of excellence. They have some delightful staff serving. It is a delight to visit and has become my go to place, even for lunch.

Today’s my second time getting food here & the first time was just yesterday. Very nice place and the deep fried French toast was yummy. Today’s pick was the steak and eggs – also yummy. Haven’t gotten to my biscuit yet but I got some honey.

Now for the space in between BBB and Waldo’s and to provide unsolicited advice – event space for nice brunches and parties ….. that would be tea

Big Good Breakfast!!! We arrived around 10 am on Monday morning (Memorial Day) and were seated within 10 minutes. They had some creative breakfast dishes on the menu and some regular breakfast items as well. My wife ordered the Jack Benny and I got the biscuits w/tomato gravy & a hash cake. Both were delicious, but that tomato gravy was outstanding!! One of our friends ordered the avocado toast and that is definitely something I will order on my next visit. Waitress was very busy and forgot to bring creamer for our coffee, but otherwise she was very nice.

I stopped by Big Bad Breakfast in Vestavia and had the breakfast plate—absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked just right, but the real star for me was the sausage. So flavorful and perfectly seasoned, I could’ve eaten a whole plate of just that! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was great too. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend for a satisfying Southern-style breakfast!

The potato cakes are not for me, I’m sure someone likes them but they tasted like a boiled potato with a thin crunchy skin. The omelet wasn’t worth the price. The coffee was good though.

Highway 31 location in Vestavia (new). It was too cold in the restaurant!!! The food looked delicious but tasted awful. The French toast tasted like a mouth full of grease.
