This is one of the best experiences I’ve had… I’m a usual over at the Big Bad Breakfast in greystone & this is my first experience at this new Big Bad Breakfast in Pelham & let me tell you, absolutely absolutely absolutely loved this one..
The manager was amazing, I knew two of the people over at this Big Bad Breakfast from the greystone one that they just transferred over to this location, so I got to see some good friendly faces & also do the manager, she’s in training so she was at greystone for a little while then she is now at Pelham and then she’s going back to the greystone area before returning back to her home store.

This was such a wonderful experience this store is absolutely beautiful it’s a beautiful location, all the employees were nice and really really really really really really friendly this was probably the best experience I’ve had out of a breakfast place in my 41 years of life, so thank you very much for the employees that work here & the managers that run this place, I was super super super super super super thrilled to get to come here and I promise I won’t be a stranger over here either because this place was amazing. The food was amazing I got the biscuits and gravy, and an order of bacon, and I was meaning to people from church and so we had a great time, the service was phenomenal. The store was very clean and in a wonderful, beautiful area!!!

Great experience! I got the Biscuit Cumble and it was delightful. I was pleasantly surprised at how much flavor it had. The tomato gravy is terrific. The coffee is some of the best you’ll have. The latte was a 10/10. Service was fast despite the large crowd. Overall a great place for Breakfast or brunch.

This location is next door to Taco Mac across from Pelham’s Ice Rink. The parking is limited as the restaurants share their parking with the adjacent apartment/condo complex.

When you initially enter the seating area is set up as a diner. Towards the back of the restaurant there is an open dining area.

The food was great. Seasoned just right and the sauces, table salsa, jams, and jellies are home made. The wait time for service was minimal. The kitchen manager runs the food to assure its served hot to the table.

Overall, a great dining experience.

Couldn’t wait to try out the new Big Bad Breakfast in Pelham, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was really good, especially the BBB skillet. Beautiful setup with plenty of natural lighting. We’ll be back!

My brother and I just had a fantastic breakfast on opening day of Big Bad Breakfast in Pelham (Canopy near Taco Mac across from the Pelham Civic Complex). I had eaten at the BBB on Hwy 280, but it’s been a few years and I was excited for the opening in Pelham.
First, a huge shout out to our server Alecia. Not only did she provide excellent service but she was also very engaging, cordial and just plain fun. I hope management realizes what a jewel they have on their staff. You really need to ask to be seated in Alecia’s section if you want to be treated royally.
As far as the food, I chose the BLT omelet with mixed greens and my brother ordered the Belgian Waffle with a side of andouille sausage. At first, I was a bit confused by the very plain, lackluster look of my omelet, as the photo will attest. However Alecia quickly remedied the situation. The kitchen had failed to top it with tomato gravy as mentioned in the menu. That one addition definitely elevated the flavor profile. Stuffed with bacon, spinach and tomatoes, it was very good. At first I wasn’t sure about the accompanying fresh tossed greens with citrus vinegarett dressing, but they were very good. It was the perfect balance to the omelet.
My brother really enjoyed his waffle, topped with warm syrup. He mentioned several times how good it was with the fresh strawberries and blueberries.
I think the surprise was the selection of sauces available at each table. The green hot sauce was perfect on my omelet. But I also sampled the fruit sauces – peach, blueberry, blackberry, and a few others. They are just a little sweet something to compliment and balance the savory item on your plate.
Being new, the interior was fresh, clean and inviting. A long bar is just inside the front door with table seating further back. For lack of a better description (and please, don’t think this next statement is in any way derogatory) but when entering, it reminded me of a very upscale Waffle House on steroids – I’m talking about the layout and not the clientele.
Overall, BBB is a great place for breakfast and/or lunch (they close at 2:30 each day). It will definitely be on my list of places to return. Kudos BBB, and welcome to Pelham.

We love the BBB! Southern hospitality at its finest. The dilly fried chicken is sweet and juicy with the right amount of crisp. Paired with the biscuit and sausage gravy, this place has me hooked. You never find your coffee cup empty.

Big Bad Breakfast – Pelham is a great spot if you’re craving a hearty, Southern-style breakfast with bold flavors. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that works well for both weekday mornings and weekend brunch.

The menu offers a strong mix of classic breakfast staples and creative twists. The biscuits are fluffy and flavorful, the grits are rich and well-seasoned, and the house-made sausage and bacon really stand out. Portion sizes are generous, so you definitely leave full. The pancakes are light and satisfying, and the breakfast skillets are packed with flavor.

I’ll give credit where it’s due first. The staff were so unbelievably sweet, even though it was packed in there and completely chaotic on a Sunday morning.

Now, for the downsides:

The parking situation is atrocious. I dunno who the genius was who came up with the logistical nightmare that is the Canopy, but their relatives must work for the city of Bham. I seriously have no idea where the actual tenants of that complex park, because there’s so many patrons of the Taco Mac and BBB taking up all the parking- none of which is reserved by apartment number.

On top of that, Taco Mac had a sign that said their parking was reserved for Taco Mac patrons from 10-11, so none of us parked there and their lot was completely empty. What a waste…. so BBB patrons had to park about 100 yds down from the restaurant. Hey, at least we burned off 20 cals or so walking back to the car. The worst part? They’re building MORE retail spaces below the apartments, as if they have enough parking as it is already! Bunch of geniuses, these folks.

That, plus the food was just bland. Listen, I never season my food at a restaurant cause it seems rude to me. But today I did. There was just no flavor whatsoever. It just tasted like watery eggs with a bunch of red potatoes chucked in a hash. I know they only opened recently, but BBB is a fairly large chain so the recipes should be pretty cut and dry. And frankly, all it needed was a little salt and pepper, at a minimum. Oh, well. The iced coffee was decent once I swished it around a lil. Otherwise, I was worried it would have been watered down, too, after the first sip.

Finally, I came alone so I was lucky enough to find a stool at the bar immediately. If you’re with a group of 3 or more, though, good luck! The wait was consistently 30-45 mins when people walked in with a group.

They just have some kinks to sort out, but unfortunately, the parking fiasco solidified it for me that I most likely won’t be back- at least not to this particular location-, which makes me sad since it’s like 5 mins down the road. Oh, well. Que será, será.
