This place is the quintessential deli/diner. A full menu & great fast service with a smile. We had to go to the DMV in the same shopping center so we had lunch here 2 days in a row. The Reuben to die for, chicken sandwich delicious, huge onion rings. I’ll be going out of my way to go back again. Butger a little slim but delicious. Very reasonable prices for fresh food.

Overall Food really delicious! Got the Rueben and Chili cheese fries, only comment/complaint would be I wish the fries were cooked just a little longer to stay more crisp with the chili and cheese on it but everything else was amazing!

I use to eat here every day on my
Lunch break. It’s been a nearly a decade since I moved but I really miss seeing the family who own & run it everyday. They even sent me a huge cheesecake when they heard I had a back surgery.

I have been buying from this Restaurant for four years, have turned plenty of my friends and family on to big Apple, today I order the same thing every time perch dinner no slaw add okra with fries, I’ve spoken to one of the twins manger/owners previously about my hush puppies and fries being cold, he apologizes so I had decided to continue to go back, when placing my order I make sure I ask a couple of times for my fries and hush puppies to be hot, I hadn’t eaten all day today I was gonna go to Popeyes or Publix for chicken, but I decided to call to see if the Big Apple was back from vacation I’d get my usual fish dinner ,the service today was not good the fish wasn’t seasoned like normal, the fish was finger sizes pieces overly cooked, they cut down on the size of the hush puppies, they are really tiny now , hush puppies were old and cold, fries were cold with the exception of a few hot ones mixed in, which was unsatisfactory to me ,big Apple was my favorite place for perch fish, I did call today talked to the twin manger when I got home, he apologized as usual but after four years they still can’t get it right, and sell me hot sides with my dinner, I paid $16.45 today that’s the new price up three dollars, i was totally unsatisfied with the whole dinner, it’s hundreds of other restaurants I could have gone to, I will NOT be going back as of today , I see they never did appreciate my business , I worked restaurant for many years when I was younger, I made it my business not to sell ANYONE cold food, it’s just no excuse it’s poor service, no one should have to pay for cold food, do better big Apple you’re actually getting a bit cocky.

Big Apple Deli is awesome. We went here for lunch one day since it’s close to our office. The seating area inside is large enough to handle the busy hours. They’ve a wide selection ranging from cold cut sandwiches to cheese burgers, cheese steaks and pita breads. They’ve desserts such as brownies, banana pudding and cheesecakes, and drinks as well.
We got the crispy chicken pita and the veggie pita along with a soda and a side of cheese fries(without the beef). The crispy chicken was quite delicious, and just the right amount of juicy. We appreciated how well-cooked it was. The veggie pita had a decent amount of vegetables in it as well. The fries definitely checked the box for guilty pleasure. We loved how fresh it all tasted.
As a newbie to Charlotte, I love finding spots like these that seem underrated and still pack a punch when it comes to food and service. The service was quite prompt and polite.
There’s a lot of parking available outside, and the pick-up counter for food is in the back. I’ll be back here soon.

First time trying it and the food was hot, fresh and good. I ordered the seafood combo with flounder, shrimp and chicken tenders, french fries and a side salad. The service was Friendly and efficient. Will definitely be going back

My first time eating here in September 16, 2024! I got the flounder fish, jumbo fried shrimp, French fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw . My best friend got the kid’s plate with shrimp French fries and a delicious hotdog. I don’t have a picture of the hotdog.
Btw, as you can see the kids plate is enough for adult lunch. . This place definitely has my business.
