Big Apple Bakery did an outstanding job with my daughter’s Sweet 16 cake! Joe was the best—friendly and truly knows his stuff! He took my daughter’s ideas for a Tangled-themed, three-tier cake and brought them to life beautifully. We weren’t sure what to do for the flowers, real or artificial, but he recommended going to Michaels, and he was absolutely right! They looked amazing!!

I recently ordered a custom cake from Big Apple Bakery for my daughter Lily’s baptism, and it came out absolutely amazing. The design featured a beautiful cross, and the strawberry chocolate filling was out of this world. Not only did it look incredible, but it tasted even better!
We ordered a cake for about 30 people, and they went above and beyond — the portion was generous, and everyone got to take some home. That’s the sign of a true bakery that cares about its customers.
The staff and owners, Joe and his family, are some of the kindest and most genuine people you’ll ever meet. They make the entire experience personal and special from start to finish. It’s local businesses like this that make a real difference — hardworking families putting love and care into everything they do.
We also had 6 pounds of cookies and another cake for my father-in-law’s retirement. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. Even five days later, the cookies were still soft and tasted freshly baked — that’s unheard of!
Their communication was top-notch, too. They confirmed everything ahead of time, called us when the order was ready, and made pickup super easy.

My very, very favorite bakery. Not only is everything tasty and delicious with a huge selection to pick from BUT they decorate the cake to whatever you wish. I have a very dear friend who was celebrating a birthday. She’s a big fan of Wicked. And it was perfect!!! Not only was the cake delicious, it was almost too perfect to cut into. Thank you Big Apple!

Ordered a small cake for my sister’s elopement, and with 3 days notice, the staff + cake decorator went above and beyond. My sister was so surprised and so happy with how it turned out! I got married in June and used Big Apple Bakery for my desserts! I currently live in NH and needed a bakery that was easy to work with and accommodating to the distance. Big Apple Bakery did not disappoint! Not only did they setup a cake testing for when I would be in town, they called me to go over every detail for the wedding. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The desserts were amazing and my guests are still talking about how good they were! There’s no other bakery I would use! I will be visiting them every time I am in town!

We tried the tiramisu and boy was it bad. Sour to the point of being inedible. Reached out to the store the next day and was assured it was fresh and that is just how they make them. Seems they substitute cream cheese for the mascarpone, making it far more tart and resulting in an unpleasant, overwhelming sour flavor. No offer to replace it or refund it. Very disappointing.

I guess that would have been helpful if it was stated when we called to inquire why it was sour or if it had spoiled. Do those questions sound like we were happy with it?
This is why reviews exist. You make a product that I found distasteful and not within the realm of what that product should taste like. I’m sharing my opinion of that product in case others wish to avoid the same thing.

I ordered a Boston Cream Pie for my husbands birthday & he absolutely loved it! The cake was super fresh and everyone who had it enjoyed it as well. I wish I took a photo of the inside! Thank you big apple bakery! Will defiantly be ordering again.

We’ve been celebrating my daughter’s birthday in July on LBI for many years. We used to get a cake from the Ship Bottom bakery and it wasn’t very good, wasn’t decorated well, and it would cost $80. We switched to this bakery about 4-5 years ago and we were not disappointed. The cake is always very good, looks great, and the prices are a lot more reasonable.
Doesn’t hurt to pickup some strudel and other goods when getting the cake. We’ve never had anything bad from this bakery. Will be back again. Worth a trip to the mainland!

I was informed about this local spot by a family member and I’m very glad that I was. Big Apple Bakery is excellent in every possible way. The service was fast and they are very friendly. I got apple turnovers, cookies, and mini cannolis. All of which was delicious. The cannolis were a stand out – they were freshly filled too! I definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Moved to this part of Jersey less than a year ago and happy to have stumbled upon this bakery. During my initial visit, I was told that most of their best sellers were already sold out. I got myself Pasta Croce and Crumb cake. I really liked the Pasta Croce specially when paired with coffee.
This bakery carries more than the usual bread, cakes and pastries but also offer Pasta sauces, ravioli and some other Italian dishes. I tried their Vodka Sauce and loved it.
The crew are really attentive and nice which is always a plus.
