Great bagel place for lunch or breakfast. Had two bagels both really nice. Good coffee selection. The Asiago bagel was excellent and the bacon cheddar cream cheese was heavenly. Nice service. Nice place to grab a coffee, bagel or both. Would recommend and would visit again.

The best bagels and service in Kzoo in my opinion. The seasonal coffees are always tasty. The atmosphere is cozy and many times I’m greeted by name. I usually order a breakfast bagel sandwich of any kind and a lunch bagel. They are all good!

We came in around 9am and ordered off the breakfast menu..so I thought. I ordered a southern tradition and my son ordered the BLT. he was asked if he wanted mayo or cream cheese. He chose mayo. I didn’t think anything of it initially, till our food arrived. I thought we paid a lot for just two breakfast sandwiches. So I inquired about it. The manager let us know we were charged for lunch sandwich because he chose mayo..Granted..again its 9am. Its not so much about the almost $2 up-charge but more of her assuming we wanted the lunch sandwich. I honestly didn’t know that was a thing. When i made a general statement of she should of clarified because he chose mayo we would be up-charged she got very snooty with me. Saying i should of known the difference. Again..Its 9am and she asked him. Food was good..other server was kind..but just kinda feel we got robbed of an enjoyable experience. So be cautious when ordering.

We came in and they were pretty much out of bagels. We waited a while for fresh ones, but I have to say there was no sense of urgency, and the cashier who waited on us was very bratty. We left and went into town to an independently owned establishment and got bagels there instead. I hate to complain, but that was just silly

Horrible employees. My husband and I went into this location yesterday (12/09/2025) to get a bagel and pop to share. The bagel was hard and I had asked for crispy bacon on it, the bacon was not crispy.

Also my husband is disabled and blind in one eye and wears a patch as he can’t see out of his eye and while we was there the employees where talking crap about him with another customer saying “when is the creepy guy in corner leaving” thinking we couldn’t hear their conversation when my husband did in fact hear it.

Will not come to this location again. Rude employees and horrible products.

My “toasted” bagel was merely warmed up, not toasted. It was a French Toast bagel, but nearly flavorless, except that it must have been next to some jalapeño bagels, because that was the taste. Based on the “Big Apple” name, I was expecting a nice chewy east-coast-style texture, but this was like eating wonder bread… no chew at all. They had a huge selection of bagel flavors, but disappointingly no pumpernickel! The store itself was nice and clean, lots of tables, friendly staff, and a tv area for kids with Sponge Bob showing on a tv. And my coffee was actually better than the coffee one usually gets at bagel shops in New York. And the bagel was freshly baked. My suggestion is to rename the store “Midwest Bagels”, because that’s what they serve.

I have stopped into Big Apple Bagels a few times, while I enjoy their bagels I think I prefer a local shop. We’ve had a few errors when ordering, my partner asked for a turkey and egg bagel sandwich and received her meal without meat. The bagels aren’t toasted enough in my opinion, even when “double toasted”. I will say that compared to the local shops, their cream cheese is top tier; Chedder Jalapeño, specifically. I also recommend their muffins, which they have in large and tiny sizes!

This store used to be better than this. I ordered a salmon bagel which costs 11 dollars + tip. And this is what I got. NEVER going back again. After having this, I’m still hungry. I wish there was Eisenstein Bros.
