My husband and I decided to go back to Big Al’s and have pizza like we used to when we were first dating. They have remodeled since we last here, it looks great and it still has interesting things to look at. But, a couple things haven’t changed. The pizza is still amazing, the service is still wonderful and the atmosphere is great for families and singles. I am so happy we went back.

We shared a BBQ Chicken pizza and a Street Corn Salad and both were very good. The salad was so good, that we wish we’d each got our own and just skipped the pizza! (Even tho both were very good, the salad was just superior.) Their salads are big, too. You won’t be disappointed trying the street corn one. Great service, clean bathrooms and restaurant and overall we had an enjoyable experience.

Downtown La Crosse Bar. Pizza is good and appetizers too. Typical local bar pizza and apps. Always enjoy a good fried pickle. We had our holiday party for work here on a Thursday in the back room which was spacious and nicely separated. Would recommend.

Big Al’s has been in business for a while and is always a favorite place to go for pizza.
I have eaten here multiple times over the years since I was in college and recently they seemed to have changed and updated the interior. The sitting is a little better, but I do miss the upside down Christmas Tree on the ceiling among other cool decor.
The brisket sandwich was good and the chicken wings were ok. We were hoping for traditional wings, but they only have boneless.
The salad was excellent though.
Overall a good experience and always a good choice among other restaurants downtown.

We used the party room for a rehearsal dinner. It was a great space dor everyone to move around and visit. When we arrived they put out appetizers and salad. Gave us time to enjoy that get a drink and visit. Then pizzas came out. Delicious! They suggested 8 pizzas for the size of our party and said they could do more as needed. It was spot on. Great prices. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Let me start by saying i LOVE big Al’s and was craving it. So I ordered a take out order 2 pizzas and they were over cooked and hard to eat there was not enough cheese on my cheese pizza and due to being over cooked it was very difficult to bite through and chew.
I will absolutely return to Big Al’s, however I just wanted to make sure that they are aware so they can fix it.
I hate leaving bad reviews and I would have preferred to email big Al’s about the issue but could not find an email address there is only a phone number and chances of the message getting to the right person when making a call are slim in most cases.

We really enjoyed big Al’s. Our server was awesome and the vibe inside is wonderful. Our pizza was served quickly and it tasted as great as we hoped it would . We’re happy we stopped in and we’ll be back.

Ordered on Eat Street. Over $10.00 for burnt dried out 4 PC small tender. Over $20.00 for a 16 inch “plain” cheese pizza which was rubber by the time I got it. I had to reheat everything just to eat it. Pizza had barley any sauce……You can definitely tell the place is scrimping. Definitely will NOT be back. Absolutely not happy.
