This place had amazing reviews, which is why my fiancé made reservations here for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
Our reservation was at 9:30 PM, but we waited about 30–45 minutes and weren’t seated until 10:15. Once seated, it took another 15 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. My fiancé had prepaid for a bottle, which came out quickly, and we were ready to order but the server dropped off the bottle and disappeared shortly after. We then waited another 20 minutes just to place our food order. While waiting, we noticed that no other couples around us seemed to be enjoying their evening either. We even asked the table next to us about their experience. They said they had also waited a long time and that their food came out burnt. At that point, we decided to find our server and cancel our order. He seemed visibly annoyed when we did. We ended up leaving without eating at all. Overall, it was a very disappointing Valentine’s Day experience, especially given the high expectations set by the reviews. We won’t be returning. The only sweet person there was the hostess!!

The menu is a delightful journey through classic Italian cuisine, with a modern twist that keeps you intrigued. I started with the Burrata Caprese, which was a heavenly combination of creamy burrata, ripe heirloom tomatoes, and a drizzle of basil-infused olive oil. It was as if summer had been plated just for me.

For the main course, I opted for the Truffle Risotto, and it was nothing short of perfection. The arborio rice was cooked to a creamy consistency, with generous shavings of truffle that added an earthy depth to every bite. It was rich, decadent, and utterly satisfying.

The service was impeccable; our server was attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent wine pairings that complemented our meal beautifully. The ambiance was lively yet intimate, making it perfect for both a romantic dinner or a family gathering.

To top it all off, the Tiramisu was a dream. Light, fluffy, and with just the right amount of espresso kick, it was the perfect end to a delightful meal.

We made dinner reservations for 8:15 but were told to wait 45 minutes outside in the cold. We finally got sat down thinking we would be warm finally, but all of the doors were open and it was so cold everyone was wearing jackets. It took another 30 minutes to get the drinks and then by 10:00 finally got our food. The lasagna was pretty good, the chicken parm was burnt so bad and barely had any spaghetti and tasted very plain. The service was slow our waiter was nice but with how cold and uninviting this place was it just made the whole experience unenjoyable.

My boyfriend and I had a very questionable experience here. We spent over an hour waiting for our reservation for Valentine’s day. The hostess was allowing people with 8pm reservations check-in at 9:30pm despite claiming they only had a 15 minute grace period. When we finally went in, the restaurant was freezing and very uncomfortable to be in. Despite the nice waitress, the experience we had was enough to turn us away from this location. Not to mention, their “salad” is only 5 pieces of un-chopped lettuce with some dressing and parmesan which gave us some minor food poisoning.

It’s an open kitchen so you can see what the chefs are doing. I tip the chiefs over our server! We walked out of this place after we were told their menu was limited to only breakfast when they opened at 11am. The manager was kind to come outside and open the menu but did mention to us some things they could not do for us yet. So we gave it another shot. Which it was great just not the service. Remember it’s an open kitchen so we can see the server gossiping with the bartender about us which we are a paying customer and love to tip. So instead we tipped the chef $20 bucks each they were great they washed their hands at each step of their cooking process and the food came out delicious! Unfortunately due to the service I would come back but the food is great!

House crafted delectable “healthy” cocktails with fresh ingredients! Beverage director Saul delighted us with on and off the menu treats. The strained muddled blue berry gin over ice concoction garnished with mint was refreshing and straight up gulp-able!

Our lovely and attentive waitress Savannah greeted us with a smile and offer to give more details about anything on the menu. She promptly took our order and delivered the first round of drinks, followed by appetizers and food thereafter checking on us and bringing us extra things as needed. She had the most upbeat, kind, and caring demeanor.

The former chef from Italy, delighted us with amazing delicacies however, there has been a change, leaving the food, more suitable for those with a simple palette. Regardless, we were well fed and enjoyed the overall experience.

The manager, Thomas was kind and attentive and checked on us to see how we enjoyed our meal and carefully watched over all of his crew.

P.S. Loved the Madame, comprised of yummy Aperol, fancy gin, lemon and orange squeezed fresh, unique elevated twist on Italian staples!

My hubby enjoyed the dessert like lemony creamy dreamy Chicago. I agree ☝️
